If u have any friend or relative living in islamabad then Get the noc from house owner that u r living their as paying guest nd u can get islmbd no. + Agents dont have counters around nd in islmbd excise now bcz of law inforcement nd stuff but they r roaming around excise so u can source them nd get ur work done.

I recently got a islmbd regstrd city transfered without previous owner as he was abroad via agent.

I am planning to purchase a used civic 1599cc 2003 model islamabad registered in 2003 BUT it appears with token tax paid only through April 2004. How much will I have to pay for all the past "not paid" token tax years to bring the car up to date to june 2017?? I will negotiate the price down accordingly. If too costly may be not purchase it even though it is in good condition and low mileage too!

Any guidance on the amount as well as how it is to be calculated will be greatly appreciated. Also can it be just one lumpsum for "life time" token??

I just registered car on my own name with a proof that I am working in Islamabad. My Id card doesn't contain temporary neither permanent address of Islamabad. I just provided the letter given by my office which proves that I am working in islamabad

I can probably get the letter from my HR, could you please provide what I should tell them to write or PM me the format? I will be travelling all the way from lahore to get the registeration done, I just dont want to listen from the excise guys to go back and get it registered from your city.

Is getting the car registered a lengthy process or I will be done in a couple of hours? Will the number and plated be issued on the same day?

Well I am posting details here so that others can get help too. You have to ask your HR department to write a letter(proof employement letter) on which it must be mentioned that you are working in their islamabad branch since xyz year. You have to submit that letter along with the copy of Appointment letter. This is 1 day procedure but depends on those officers how they treat you. I mentioned my office address at the place of residential address on form. At the time of submitting documents one agent asked me what type of address is this go back and change this. However I tried my luck on another window and that man didn't raise any issue and issued me a number. You will be issued No and No plates once you your documents will be accepted. Your must have vehicle with you to get clearance from inspection officer. you are welcome to ask me any Query. check inbox

2 weeks back i booked altis grande from Toyota capital. They told me that they will charge and extra 26k for car registration from ISB. As per them the agent charges this much amount for ppl who are not residents of ISB.
