if u live 200-300 m in range of a cng station u would understand the prob
looking at the electricity rates how many can afford and electric geaser and chohla ?
although i understand few areas with old lines get no gas at all in extreme winters(regardless of cng open or closed)

cng sector is the biggest thief of gas b.t.w its a fact
our governments previously wr busy filling pockets and did nothing good to fullfill supply of gas and electric load

p.s i am not against cng.just giving u guys facts.not really enjoying going to local market on mountain bike

This morning at PSO station opposite Karachi Jinnah Terminal overhead water tank saw 2010 Toyota 4Runner waiting between CNG rickshaws for filling i went to the driver a sober looking person & asked are you using cng he with wide smile said YES janab CNG wali hai, i asked if he can show me the cylinders, 4 cylinders in rear cabin with a BRC- ECU type controller as diesel pump rigged to floor like an amplifier. I was so shy, embarrassed i forgot that my ride was done full with 38 litres of petrol and I must move away from dispenser.

One time buying of 4Runner must be 1.8mil plus and yet petrol is out of reach for use.

I wonder why people invest for SHASHKA, TAYKA, instead of investing right for own peace of mind & self respect.

when i was building my fj 40.. mileage was the greatest issue.. it is still an issue i am facing. I tried everything except for the one method most prescribed to me by everyone... 3 cng cylinders.. it was morally just wrong to do that..
So eventually i am spending on a new engine rather than stealing gas(yes it does feel like stealing gas if i run by 4x4 on cng which is just for shashka and not even my main ride)

Even though i love driving my car on CNG but i think courts shouldn't interfere in administrative matters of govt. It will definitely affect gas supply to industry and homes.

Do you know what is the current situ of gas supply to domestic consumers in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Faisalabad? Do you even have a SINGLE CENT idea of how a person with mediocre (25-50k Rs) income struggles to survive?

Kabhi khushbu lagaye baghair Army ki factories mai ayen mai aap ko dekhaun kis shaan o shaukat se 24/7 chal rahee hain. Aur Seth sahibaan wadairay kis kis tareekay se gas chori kr rhe hain, Mianwali me he ek CNG statios pr 4 compressors hain and ONLY ONE is connected to gas meter, baaki direct hain LMAO.

Govt ko kahen kay ye tamashay band karey, bajaye taxi walo ka rizq band krne k.

I don't quite get why people whine against the use of CNG, I can afford a 5000 Rs petrol tank every other day doesn't mean everyone can. A guy on a Suzuki Mehran today literally got two liters of fuel poured in, how many friggin kilometers do you think he would have gone with it?

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday allowed 77 CNG stations in Rawalpindi and Islamabad to operate two days a week, paving way for hundreds of other outlets in the twin cities to get a similar relief.
However, an official of the gas distribution company, said the relief would disturb the supply of natural gas to the domestic consumers and the government would file an appeal against the ruling next week.
It may be noted that in November 2011 the IHC had granted a similar relief to the CNG stations but later withdrew it after the government challenged the verdict.
On December 2, the government suspended the supply of gas to the CNG stations in the Pothohar region for three months citing shortage of gas to meet the rising domestic demand in the winter. On Friday, IHC Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui issued the order after the 77 CNG station owners challenged the government decision. The court directed the government to restore the previous schedule of supplying gas to the petitioners for two days a week.
Qamar Afzal, the counsel for the petitioners, argued that the government had not issued any formal notification and unilaterally suspended the gas supply.

He said the Council of Common Interests (CCI) had also not yet approved the decision and a summary in this regard was still pending before the prime minister.
He said the CNG station owners had already been under severe financial crunch and the three months gas closure had increased their problems. It has become impossible for them to meet their expenses.
Advocate Afzal added that previously the government had allowed the CNG sector to remain open for three days in a week. Later, it decreased the duration to just two days. But the complete suspension of gas supply is unfair to the business community and the employees of the CNG sector. He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was providing gas to the CNG sector but the federal government had stopped the supply in Punjab and Islamabad.
He requested the court to declare the government decision unlawful. Further hearing of the matter has been adjourned till the second week of February.
Javed Khan, the general manager of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL), told Dawn that due to the shortage of gas the government had decided to close the CNG stations. He said the first priority of the government was domestic consumers

to cut on the import bill and provide public with a fuel that has low price as compared
. from many years number of CNG powered car is increased

but now they take it away there is no justification

in my point of view no matter what car it is , it cant have more than one cylinder allowed to be filled

Majority of hiace commuter vans got 2-3 cylinder , interesting coaster and mazda buses also using it

why there is no focus of no check and balance on that part rather uprooting the supply al together

i think above 1300cc vehicle should not be allowed to have CNG filled - yes many people will jump in

but if you got 1300cc above car definetly you must be given by ALLAH to run on petrol diesel.

Even the Loading mini trucks are running on CNG then you say GAS nahi hay mulk mein

You cannot fend off people with 1300 cc+ cars who wants cng, they could take out cylinder, shove inside a mehran and get cng then re-install it back into their cars. And yes, they will do that lol. If they can wait 2-3 hours in queue no doubt they can do a bit of lifting as well!

Government enjoys playing with us- they love seeing us frustrated. They even got offered a gas line from Iran, and they just left the deal when it was their turn to extend it...<.<
