Dear Friends
We ( IJC ) went to Hathian near Mardan on 5 vehicles with 14 friends,six friends joined us from Peshawar too.
As u all know we took so many items ( already mentioned ) for our affected friends. We distributed all items ourself.
We targeted Govt Higher secondary School Hathian, where there r around 900 ppl living.The surrounding area is also filled with affected ppl.
As per a local friend there r around 13000 to 14000 ppl living in that area.
No Govt official has so far visited that place, only locals r doing their BEST to help them out.
We SALUTE LOCAL ppl for helping them in a very nice manner.
Atleast they have shelter, Security & Food.
What we noticed is that they all need attention from Govt, UNHCR & other organisations for better results.
In a small room minimum 25 ppl r living with not much necessary items.
They have only one or two glasses per room, only two or three Talaees, one watercooler, with not sufficient food.
There r some patients also n they need attention. One of the locals told us that there r atleast 20 delivery cases so they need Lady Doctors in that area.
They have a patient with broken arm also.
It was a very different experience for many of us.We all r now boosted up n we will definetely help our Pakistani Affected ppl in that area.
When we distributed sports goods like Footballs, Bat & Balls, Badminton Rackets, Volley balls & sweets etc to kids, they were very happy to get them.
We r sure this will help them in spending time
They dont have any doctor, only one IDP is a doctor who is helping them out.
The conclusion is that
1 : We must continue our support in providing them basic items
2 : Doctors must establish a camp in that area.
3 : Lady Doctor should also visit that site
4 : They also need some teachers to teach them
5 : They will not feel helpless if we pay frequent visits to that area
We must appreciate the gesture of Locals who r supporting them whole heartedly
Spirits of IDP's r very high n they want to go back to their areas as soon as possible
So lets pray for them all for their safe back journey, till then we must help them whole heartedly n sincerely
We must also appreciate the idea of helping IDP's by Dr Ehsaan Kiani.
Later everyone in IJC endorsed n we all witnessed yet another excellent Team Effort by IJC members & Friends
