where this Highway ends in Murree nd any idea about approximate mileage of this track ? nd one more thing how u compare the steep with pheer shuwa ?

@Shazi_00. This track leads upto Jhika Gali, it is quite steep near Jhika Gali, but I went from old route and came back via it after taking a round around Murree. I guess the toal milage was 130kms (appx two-way)

A Road through one of the best scenery on this earth, (im going to mention India now dont flip!)
This Islamabad-Murree Highway is similar to the Highway in India from Chandigar to Shimla(Indias Murree) - iv been on that highway in India..

and il be looking forward to going to Murree on this Highway, Looks very Clean and Nice

I also went via the newly built highway yesterday. The road is of best quality and have amazing views. The negatives are that its bit long as comparted to the old way. The steap accend at the jicha galli is much steap. Traveling at night is not recommended as i saw many cars stranded and no facility in vacinity to repair. There were some stones and gravel at different places which are very alarming if you are travelling at night...

i was driving Corolla Altis and on Petrol...... well i said maybe it was just me... but i couldnt really enjoy everything coz i was worried abt the car acting strange.

@jiggerzzz. May be one has to reduce the speed according to road conditions and it is better to slow down on such roads. But it is fun to drive there.

Well people will get used to it, just like they did not like M2 (Lahore-Islamabad motorway) and were nostalgic about historic GT road.
