He gave me 17500 rs rate. Pick from home khi and delivery to airport isl. Includes everything documentation etc. Few of my colleagues used their services and no damages has been reported yet. For return from isl to khi they will charge 7500 rs, again pick from isl airport and drop at home khi.

@irfanahmed76 - thx. sounds like a good option if you are on trip for a week or more as it will cost cheaper than car rental and more importantly with ease of mind with all rental issues. what would be the transit time?

That's the actual reason you just mentioned is for using own car, plus I will have confidence on my own car with family than a rental car.

Transit time they commit is 3 days but maximum they take 5 days. I will give them 5 days before. I have never transported my car ever but a colleague travel alot between Islamabad & Karachi using this option with family and his experience is so far good within 5 years.

yes, that's true, driving your own car is always a pleasure drive.. last year i drove my car with family from Karachi upto Kel and it was a lovely trip and now i m thinking to plan train-car trip, train to Lahore or Islamabad and then onward on Car.. thx.

Weather and road conditions of KKH are uncertain right now due to recent rainfall and landsliding. I am hoping it will become normal in a month.

As far as I have researched on existing threads, your car can go till Khunjerab pass and from Gilgit to Skardu as well (not sure about going beyond Skardu).

Any idea about the condition of road Jaglot to Skardu? is it carpetted? Can I drive my car (Suzuki Wagon R 2015) from Jaglot to Skardu?

Road is pretty bad but you can drive your car easily there. It took me 14 hours to reach from Hunza to Skardu. I have got today's update and it took 37 hours from Jaglot to Skardu due to multiple land sliding. This road is highly frustrating in terms of terrain and length, it makes you feel like you are trapped in a valley.
