UBANTU is best version of OS!
Mac got no Match but needs apple Machine!
Try Ubantu!
I will try Vista For Few days.used Ubantu on Salarzae System!
its good!

Ok for yur Java problm use the following link to download
java nd then install on your laptop....

nd there r two types of OS one 32 bit nd othr 64 bit ..The terms 32bit and 64bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 32bit and 64bit versions of Windows are designed for use in computers with 32bit or 64bit processors, respectively.A 64bit computer can process twice as much information as a 32bit computer, and can have significantly more RAM.

u dont need to install java if its already there on ur machine..simple follow these steps, hopefully it'll solve ur problem:

P.S if u r using IE 7 n cannot see the Tool Menu, simply right click on that area n check "Menu Bar"

I heard that using a windows XP CD , there's a "repair" option and a reinstall option.

Well, iv e this problem in my computer dat it cant play flash files, so if I "repair" it then will it be fixed (without deleting everything)?

If anyone has used the repair option, please let me know.

re-run the setup without formatting n ur files will remain intact..but i'm not sure whether it'll solve ur problem or not.

vista is resource hungry, even double as XP, the specs u've shown here r just OKAY with VISTA... coz the minimum recommended RAM for Vista is 2Gigs... its better to downgrade to XP SP2 with all the latest patches n updates.. or if u hve some skills on Linux thn go for its STABLE Distributions, like... RHEL 4.0, Fedora 6, Turbo Linux Desktop Edition or the @Salar's favourite... UBUNTU.. all u need is totally free...
