beware when buying these - as mostly they would have been driven by contracted drivers in Japan which does not paint a pretty picture for mechanical reliability - Trust me they beat these cars up.

but what about their parts ??? routine maintenance ?? are they also "cheap" as many members are referring the vehicles' prices as "cheap" ....

We see many Applied 4 Reg. Toyota Probox everyday

Not too many but still many Nissan AD Vans (2006-07)

And also, Mitsubishi Lancer Van (i've spotted two, one near zero point and other one for sale outside Car dealer's office)

All these vehicles are basically used as 'mini truck/van' for delivery purpose with in Japanese cities. However, they can be converted into family car easily. Personally, I prefer wagons over sedans. . .

The following reasons are behind the popularity of these wagons;

* Cheap prices
* Engine Displacement remain under 1500cc limit (Nissan AD is 1.3 petrol engine)
* More space than a sedan, you can put a lot of luggage even with a CNG tank

Beware..........Most Of Them Are Quiet Beaten up Badly As They Don't Drive Them From Maintenance Point Of View .............Its Just Disposable Items For Them So They Don't Really Care ...........!!
I Have Seen Many JDM Imports Including Vitz And Corolla Having Pathetic And Sluggish Engine Condition And Looks Like New.........!!

Yes because most of them have 100,000+ kms on them, so the price is right for importers, Nissan ad van of 2006 is as low as $1,000 in Japan
