bought new passo 2014. its average is fixed on 9.7km although i changed oil air filter oil filer. and filled tank with hi octane. can some1 explain this issue? regards

Change the engine oil to Liqui moly 5W-30, fully senthetic oil, I have a similar late 2014 passo and am extremely satisfied with the fuel mileage, Try using Liqui moly engine flush once maybe a gunk built up due to late oil change is causing the problem.

Same was the situation with me. Went to long route and it increased to 15! Now it is 14.7

Yeah, and make manual calculations, like fill up the tank and check how much kms it takes till the bar starts to blink, but make sure you refill as soon as the fuel bar starts to blink because a delay could result in fuel pump malfunctioning, thanks to the dirty fuel we get in Pakistan.

Ok brother thanx for help. Will update after complete tank drive. I hope restarting average meter will help

Its can be restart the same way as we restart trips meter. Just keep pressing button it will restart that particular meter

Passo is very good car...

I felt very comfortable throughout the year from highways to rush traffic in cities...

Fuel economy is also good, not that good with AC but still its ok...

Ride is comfortable and spacious from inside, children easily roam here and there within the car

Huge space for luggage by reclining rear seats...

Parts are cheaper, i bought 1 back light for 5000 Rs. and one fender (for some other car) for 7500 Rs... (Available for sale , silver color)

We have Pkdm WR at home, and i am thankful to Allah that my car is way way better than that in most of aspects...

It is not a sports car, nor does it has enormous pick like WR, it needs smooth calm driver...

Car is stable at high speed but with good tyres...

U can achieve 110-120 kmpl easily, but 140 after some time with effort...

Push start and smart key are very handy options, no need to worry/think about keys...

Immobilizer, rear wiper, folding side mirrors are also very useful on occasions...

Rear window tints are very good (esp for ladies who do Pardaa, as in our family)...

Head light adjustment is useless feature to me...

Horn was very soft, so i had to change it with Pom Pom type...

Front suspension of Passo is delicate and it needs attention in terms of bush and rubber replacement after 20-30k mileage... (vitz has better suspension)

Front Sofa Seats are very useful to adjust an extra kid...

It can easily climb upto Murree and Pir Sohawa, where even some heavy engine cars struggle (saw some corollas crying, of old models, must be badly maintained)...

Stock tyres needs replacement for frequent highway drives, though ok for cities...

Hand rests on both sides of driver are very comforting...

I love gear position of Passo (better than vitz to me, personal choice)...

My car lacks LCD (planning to install one if budget allows)...

My car has extra feature of VSC and Remote Engine Starting (later one not useful for me)...

Glove Box cover in Passo is a blessing...

Central Locking and Child Locks are safety features for children, plus rear seats can be converted into bed for children to sleep on long route...

Sometimes u feel lack of power on economy mode, but with eco mode off, pick etc is good (still not like manual cars as it is auto one)

Ground Clearance is adequate for city drive and better than vitz...

Highly recommended car for small families and keeping for long term in 12.5-13.5 lacs (above that add an extra lac for vitz)

Above all are some random thoughts...

I bought passo with 21k mileage last wk. With less pik. I changed oil to 0w20 liqui moly. Changed air fikter oil filter al original Toyota. Fill the tank with hobc. Now pik is super good. Try tgis brother I dont knw wt oil you used. Just go for the recommended one leave everything else

What oil are you using?
Throttle body might be needed to get cleaned
Also there should be no light on speedometer while driving
Try to drive with eco off

0w20 grade is for a really cold weather.
You should not be using this grade in pakistani hot weather.
Manual may recommended it because the manual must be for another country. Using this can harm your engine in long term use.

Oil performs as per weather conditions, its characteristics change with engine temperature. Lower viscosity oil such as 0w-20 will provide qucik lubrication to engine when it is cold thus giving better protection and long life. Its mostly recommended for hybrid cars as they start and stop too often.
PS: Use what manufacturer recommends.

As this car is imported the manual is made according to some other country. In uk for corolla altis 0w20 is recommended and is printed on its oil cap to pour only 0w20. That dosnt mean if you bring it here in pakistan you should Start pouring 0w20. Temperature is different.
Still 5w30 is a better choice than 0w20 even if car is hybrid in pakistan. Because i hardly think the temperature of engine will go in negetive even if the car is hybrid (with exception of northeren areas) So there is no need for 0w grade until you are operating the car in northeren areas where outside temperature goes below -20 degrees.

Check ow-30
It goes from -35 degrees which is hardly the matter in pakistan. Thats why i said 5w30 is best. For both cold nd hot temperatures.
