After reading the whole thread of about Passo, I have successfuly bought a 2014 Passo.
I just need to know a little about the gears abbreviations of passo, I have searched alot but found different confusing answers on google.
I want to know about the B and S gear,, for which purpose they are used?
Also, when going up and coming down from Monal,, which gear should be used? B, S or D ?
Can I change the gear from D to B or S and back to D without pressing the brake?

S should be used for uphill.
B is braking, should be used for downhill. In B, you won't have to continuously press the brake because the engine would be slowly braking itself. You can say it's lower gear in CVT transmission. And yes, you can change the gears without pressing the brake

Also you can use S gear when you want some pickup, like overtaking etc..

Sir,I am planning to buy passo 2014 model new shape with same features as yours. but it is imported in oct or nov 2016. Should i go for it? demanding 1460000 with 4.5A, 19500km driven. what should be he price now. as i think late impport penalty will be applicable too .

In some passo cars, there is this button present near the navigation screen... and some don't have this button... my car also does not has this button... but there is similar sign present inside the dashboard signs. Does it means that this traction control works automatic in my car?

it means ur car does not have traction control
traction control and awd cars are made for snow/hilly areas of japan

u really dont need this unless from up north

to confirm the annoying "chik chik" sound from my car was from the belt i applied a little grease and
the sound stopped
finally went off to a local mechanic and asked him to tighten up the belt. adjuster is near the generator.
have to loosen up the generator bolts as well
belt was tighten up and car is quiet now. no more funny squealing sounds thank god
Cost 200 rupees - hope it lasts. point being did not have to replace the genuine belt

i did the tightening myself, so it was free
It is working great since then but i still wonder how it got loose. BTW toyota thokar niaz beg Lahore is selling the belt for PKR5100

Well I got it tightened, the sound stopped for a while. After a month or so, the "chick chick" sound started again

The only solution seems to get a genuine fan belt. I am willing to spend the money as long as it gives me peace of mind

it is a manufacturing fault associated with Passo and Vitz (as they share the same engine)
when the mechanic checked the belt was pretty loose in my car.it seems the belt looses tension itself after running. that cld be the only logical reason behind this
i intend to use the factory fitted belt as much as possible instead of a new chinese belt

salam guys i m quite curious that what is the top speed of passo and also the acceleration. also is the engine reliable for long use. is engine have enough power to go hill stations.

did a late night run on motorway
3 adults and 2 kids, and kept car 140 plus throughout. went easilly till 160
likewise it handled nathia gali etc easilly (i kept shifting to S or B per requirement though)
