Car Traveled: 3000 Km Approx
Engine Oil: Changed to Zic X7 5W20
Oil Filter: Changed to Toyota
Air Filter: Changed to non branded one (Will change it again today iA)
Seats & Comfort level:
Seats are comfortable, way better than cultus etc. but not as much as a big car, Arm rest is handy.
Engine Oil & Filters & Fuel Economy:
Genuine engine oil which was pre-installed from Japan was awesome? I only changed the air filter to non-branded one, even then I was getting an average of 18-2- on long with AC.
When I changed the engine oil to Zic A+ (X7 5W20), the engine power has been improved (I felt), but the fuel economy has decreased. Max I achieved was 16.5 km/l on motorway with AC, with new filters. So I will not use this oil again, and I?ll look for original Liqui Moly or Mobil 1 0W20 (as mentioned in manual) or if these not available, will give a try to ZIC 0W30.
I always kept the ECO off, because if u turned on the eco, the power of car decreases, and I was used to drive cultus with lot of thrust and acceleration, couldn't find the eco mode handy for me.
Acceleration & Engine Power:
Car can goes upto 130-140 on motorway, I tried it with 4 people on board. On local drive acceleration and pick are good when there are upto 2 people on board, but when car is fully loaded with 4-5 people, u feel the car underpowered and it lacks the pick. For highway purpose it is ok, as the car gets momentum, it reaches top speed?
While accelerating in local drive, you do hear an accelerating engine sound, but that is not a noise. While on motorway, on high speed, no engine sound, only sound of tyres is heard.
A protective sheet under hood can improve the sound deadening effect in city. I?ll plan it when my budget allows, that is pretty tight at the moment.
Vibration is not an issue with my car.
No major or minor accident experienced. Thanks to Allah Almighty.
Brakes are good, when u apply sudden hard brake in emergency, ABS kicks in and hold the discs and u can hear a sound of it, while during normal braking, there is no such sound, brakes are way good than my previous cars.
AC is awesome, it cool u down in minutes, had to turn it off often. A climate control would be a better thing for passo, if anyone can afford hana +. No major impact on fuel economy.
Steering is soft and buttery, it eases the turning, Angle of cutting the car is very good, overall steering is responsive.
Passo lacks in suspension when it comes to bumpy road with Khadday etc. all around. In city its suspension is ok, but on bumps and khadday u can gear rattling sounds from the front suspension, which are annoying in a new car. I also need suggestions from other members regarding this issue, I have read that this is a common problem with the previous gen passo aswell. @Nabz90 @us000 @khalid7shafqat
My drive is almost on straight roads, once or twice I had the experience to go through bad patches and CAT EYES esp. I felt these sounds?
As the seats of the passo are thick and shocks are good, it bears the jerks. Suspension is not as hard as swift, way better than cultus, but a bit less than big cars.
GC of passo is better than vitz and other JDMs, even Axio. Slight kissing at one or 2 occasions, otherwise no major problem, even cross high speed breakers and worst road at a village, but at a slow speed.
Retracting side mirrors are very handy, alloy rims enhance the looks, Traction I never used, arm rest is useful, back reclining seats are good, they become bed for my daughter to sleep with no fear of fall, keyless entry and push start are very good, almost never had to take the remote out of pocket., headlight adjustment I don?t feel its too useful, could have been standardized for an average person.
Windows of the car are high quality, UV protected. Even if there is intense sunlight outside, u cannot feel its heat on your body? Car does not get too warm as my cultus did, even if u park it in sun.
Feel of Drive:
Feel of drive is good, u feel like driving a big and heavy car, with road grip it stick to the road.
Looks of Passo are better from rear than front, Hana is more beautiful no doubt. When I look to my car, it feels as a Big Fat Hen
Passo is a good car overall, I m enjoying driving it. Satisfaction level is 70-75%... If its suspension could have been better, this level would be 80-85%...
JDMs demands care, these have specific things and setting which they want, such as oils filers roads etc?
Overall way better than the PkDMs, had a chance to travel in Corolla 2010, I thanx to God that I don?t that car and opted for this one.
I recommend passo for other people (it is 1.5-2 lacs cheaper than vitz of similar grades), not for villages, but for cities.
