Before I explain on specific terms let me first segregate what is known as tuning.

tuning = adjusment for proper working

now lets take your JDM passo - its got an otto cycle engine like 60% of the world has, you are saying its made by Allah miyan ke farishtay (OK - lets assume its true) while local Pakistani cars are made by Iblees ke kaarinday

Your car has a set schedule for service - this includes a few functions of tuning too - like tappet adjustment, checking of exhaust gas system and valve train drive system slack check (belt and chain both) - I believe you should write to Toyota and explain to them that they are dumb idiots.

The concept of "tooning" in Pakistan has been set by "meray dada ki vegzall vikterr ka mechanic" in which they remove the carburettor, clean it out, clean out the plugs, retune the distributor and set the tappet clearances as has been explained above.

NOW? Quote another example, All Toyota Corolla and Honda City units after 2003 in Pakistan have Timing Chains, there has to be "something" connecting the engine pulleys, no engine can run without a "timing" something around it.

But you have to accept the fact that the assembly lines are more superior to what we have here in Pakistan, a dry axle boot / joint on a civic or a rolla is common in Pakistan but not on the same car in Japan. Not to mention the proper trained personnel involvement in maintenance of cars and fuels / lubricants available as compared to what junk we have in Pk.

What good are those assemblies to us? The cars come here in used and abused forms, more than 80% of the imported vehicles are tempered, new ones directly from the factory cost arms and legs.

Do you know that a new Land Cruiser ZX v8 Ltd. less than 1000km costs more than 25 million? A mark X more than 7 million? A regular X premio more than 4.5 million?

Quality tou USDM or UKDM ki bhi bohat aala hai lekin ham kia karen? Car tou hamen used he milti hai, ALLAH knows kitnay axle boots JDM hoty hain or kitnay Karachi port domestic market. lol.

That's COmmon Issue On CNG For Those Manifolds...........A Proper Mixture Tuned With COrrect Advancer Won't Make It Happen...

Oh. Mine was less than 3500 km driven when this happened. Advancer was improperly installed somehow, it caused a huge backfire like a bomb went off inside the engine bay.

What are those membranes for?

this is what i will call a perfect post, with excellent sense of maturity, humbelness, politness and soberness. Thank you vey much sir, i really like the way you have responded.
Here i found lot of well knolwedged persons like zulfiqar, rollonbigmama, rms667, omerabdullah, strikerx, salik668, etc. But i want to say that your maturity is far above than all these guys. As we are here to learn from each other, but what i have found here is mostly taunts, taunts and making humours. We know we all are different from each other, but keeping/doing here all kind of discussions within the circle of respect make it interesting for everyone learn. If for example mr. X has posted thread about something which he is not fully aware or want to learn, then instead to replying him in a polite way, they start laughing and striking/discussing in insulting way. Oh i wish i quote here the most weird examples quoted by most senior person like zulfiqar in some recent posts in which he wrote like using sperm whale in car as engine oil, or sell wife juellery, or smack that guy, etc etc. Including the moderator vchange whom i have seriously prayed to GOD to make him more mature in his actions and GIVE him more WISDOM.
And the captain zulfiqar and his recent thread, OMG, seldom there must be some post which are without taunt or without some cheap examples. I think your above post is something they all should learn how to write politely, humanly, with courtsey and more importantly with respectfully.
Just your a bit of writting skill has made yourgoodself far distinctive than these all gentlemen i've discussed here. Now for the other bits - every single post of yours starts as "I know this for a fact" while it may be completely obtuse.
you are then asked for fact - you reply - you feel it, or your Pakistani market is your factual evidence.
when corrected - you are offended.

e.g. when you said that a MB mechanic told you not to wet oil filters, he has no reason to be a mechanic for any brand. (it pays to learn) and this is basic 101 in hydraulic maintenance - its called wetting of media. Thats why I said to smack said mechanic, the guy is either lying or you took it as the above sperm whale example.

Before running you learn how to walk - the world is not a bed of roses, not everyone will say - array pyare bhai aisa nahi hai. You have to learn the core of the idea rather than the "tamheed" of the idea.

Look Dear, We Know JDM'S Are Good Car's. But They Do Require Maintenance, If You'll Not Change The Required Parts And Don't Do It's Tuning It Would Curse You. JDM'S And PDM's Are Same Cars Just That PDM'S Lack Quality.

I am a silent PW reader and that too regular. I don't post here unless really required as I consider myself still a noob and in process of learning the basics.

Responding because you post made me to it. I have always seen you promoting branding oils and discouraging local or locally packed oils except for just the fact that they are packed locally. Anyways, coming back to your this specific post.

Reason is that you never ask for explanation, You never admit that this is what you feel which is a beginners experience and can wrong. Your every post is concluded with a verdict with an impression that it's 100% based on facts and scientific theories.

For example look at your opening post

Etc. etc.

All these JDMs are so sophisticated and well assembled cars and there is no need to take them workshop regularly for Tunning. Just like we take our PDM regularly for Tuning after 5K. But JDMs, I think, don't need it. Just feed the right set of oils (Engine, Transmission & good Fuel) which is very important and keep them driving nicely with light foot. After 5~10K, just once go to any workshop and ask them to clean the plugs. That?s all.

Just once You said I THINK, DONT NEED IT. The post was conclude with take them to workshop for plug cleaning and THAT'S ALL.

Now how you want the members to respond?

Obviously the ones will more knowledge will laugh at you or will make fun of your post because you never asked for their input you just shared what You think is true. If it's wrong then you should be able to withstand criticism as well.

Lastly about Xulfiqar, his is a nice guy I asked him a few questions about my car in pm, he responded at his earliest and was always helpful. He is surely the biggest car guru on PW - among those I know, and when you gonna tease a guru about something you don't even have an idea with expressions like you are the boss. You surely are asking them to put a bullet in your head & he obviously don't mind doing it

For anybody with an IQ a little over 80 would definitely understand what I was trying to say, Timing chains were introduced by many manufacturers as old as probably "what your age is right now" so come out of that little cocoon that you have built around yourself by being over the top in changing the old school timing belts. You keep on changing them and writing over here because it is so NEW to pakwheels forum users and people do not even know about it.
