it has more resemblance to Taiwanese IDF fighter than Mig. Actually all of this is just spectaculations by so-called journalists. China and Pak are on policy of keeping mum about platform sources of JF-17. In fact the full name is "JF-17 Thunder" which assumes that there could be further derivations in future with more advanced weaponry and probably thrust vectoring engine which will give it extreme maneuverability and strategic advantage.
It has been designed so universally that any weapon package can be fitted to it. As one journalist puts it, its a finest example of modular design.
More shadows of doubts about JF-17 platform. Well what ever is said, it definitely doesn't look like Mig-21 I have been reading a source of disinformation probably. Perhaps pakistan does not want to invite too much unnecessary attention towards its fighter program. At least its better than the Saudis I say who are fighting bribery lawsuit over purchase of Euro-fighter.
I'm assuming its not the same design as the uncompleted, Mig-35d, which became the JF-17. Just speculation of course.
They should just reverse engineer F16 with china and make something out of it just like china did with US missles
