Question is there r two different routes to reach Skardu? One is from Gilgit n other is From Alam Bridge On Kkh? Im planning to go Skardu in 1st week of July. So please explain. Will it be a comfortable to drive on that route after KKH with 3 kids, 4 months older the little one.

2 riutes .ine is from jaglot skardu road and 2nd is astore deosai skardu.astore deoasai road is more scenic but not paved and not advisable at all to do on cars yet people take their cars. Jaglot skardu road currently is under renovation so it takes a lot if time around 8-10 hrs to cover 170 kms with frequent stoppages.

Jaglot skardu road has got hotels and restaurants ,deosai route has only one or two between astore and skardu that too tent hotels.

With a 4 month old on board vetter to take the jaglot skardu road and then make a one day visit to deosai and come back to skardu

Hotels on Jaglot Skardu road are frequently available for Families as on that day I will start my journey from Kaghan Valley. It will take me 5 hours to rach Chillas. If I start journey at 9am, I will reach Chillas by 2 n then it will take around 1.5 hours till Jaglot. So at 3.30 or 4 I will reach Jaglot. I wamt to drive till 6 or max 7Pm.so will there b any hotel available on Jaglot Skardu road cz I have heard, It will take aroumd 10 hours to reach Skardu from Chillas.

Yes road will be open.ptdc on astak nala is the only reasonable hotel for stay with family.you should book in advance from isb for that

3 ir 4. The actual time is around 5 hrs.we used to travel to glt from skardu in 4.5 hrs frequently.niwadays bcoz of roadbrenovation traffic is stopped at many places.better to travel on fridays when work is stopped
