Approaching the bridge in Gorikot to move to the left side of Astore river.

Just ahead of Gorikot is Mankial from where one has to cross the bridge again to go to the Rupal valley which leads to the southern Rupal Face of Nanga Parbat The Killer Mountain.

Otherwise if you go straight and keep on left of Astore river then you are on your way to Deosai

Sun trying to come out of clouds. So far it was very cold. We never cover the jeep top unless it is raining. So the cold wind was also adding to the shivers

The Dish Antenna

This was not the only one we spotted. The whole Astore valley till Chillam Chauki is filled with dish antennas and guess what is their favourite channel and programme .........? Star Plus - Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki hehehe

When we came back from Rama Lake it was around 8 p.m. but the hotel guys refused to make dinner till 9 p.m. as they were busy in watching Star Plus dramas :o

So far, the road was exceptional in this remote end of Astore valley and it remained like this till Chillam Chauki.
