Yes it is perfectly safe.....
Is it ok to travel at night?
Probably not.... As far as looting or decoits etc. is concerned I dont think there is any danger. But the road is under construction and so travellig at night can be an unwise decision. Furthermore the travelling times are also not that much so I dont see any reason of travelling at night.
If two women want to go alone is that, again safe?
It depends upon other factors. If you have your own car and are a good driver in hilly areas then there should be no problems. Otherwise I will not suggest going there..
What might be an approxamate cost of the 2 day trip?
If you have your own car then the fuel expenditure is approximately Rs. 1000-1500 (depending upon the vehicle of course). CNG is available till Kahuta. Once filled from Kahuta you can easily reach Rawalakot and Banjusa. For the rest of the tour you will need Petrol/Diesel.
Living expenditures are also depedent upon your living style and bargaining. We got our rooms for Rs. 1000 each. It was a very neat and newly build hotel. You need not to book any rooms in advance as there are many hotels in Rawalakot.
As you can see the "Food Junction Bar BQ" picture that I have uploaded our hotel was exactly on the other side of that restaurant. I cant remember its name.
Till what time (aprox) would the shops be open till?
No Idea... We had no time to explore the markets of Rawalakot. The restaurants were open till late night (Even at 12:00).
