The hotel in Tarashing..... We remained there for about two hours and enjoyed the scenery as well as Pakoras and Chips with tea etc.

Yup... The only difference seems to be that in your case the clouds were not so dense and the light conditions were better but when we were there the clouds were not only over the Nanga Parbat but also over Tarashing and it started to rain soon(A Light drizzle)....

This is not Raikot Glacier... Raikot glacier is at fairy meadow Side of Nanga Parbat i.e. North Face.....

Yes very true.... In fact the peak visible is Raikot peak and I don't know the name of the glacier so I said it was Raikot glacier....

Tarashing-Chilum Chowki:
We left Tarashing at about 5:30 PM without having a look at the Rupal face of Nanga Parbat.... We reached back Gorikot at about 7PM and left for Chilum Chowki. In between Gorikot and Chilum there are 2-3 low level hotels near a Chashma which are not suitable for family stay but for Awaragards like ourselves they are fine.
The road between Gorikot and Chilum runs along a very beautiful stream. In fact this is the most beautiful stream that I have ever seen. One could spend the whole day on this route.... Unfortunately we were late and we passed this beautiful patch in darkness.....

YuP i was also confused about this coz Raikot glacier is near fairy meadows. But still you managed to reach the other side of The great Nanga Parbat..! So lucky but a little unfortunate coz clouds hided nanga Parbat from you people..!

yara pics upload kar day na, we all are eagerly waiting for the remaining pics & you disappeared again. I returned from same tour (Except Fairy Meadows & Tarashing) on 3rd July which was your 1st day of travelling & I also missed the scenery between Astore to Chilum as we started our journey at 8pm from Rama towards Chilum & I was hoping to see the pics in your trip but..... Anyway, we will have to travel again in this beautiful part of our country to see the beauty between Astore to Chilum. Waiting for remaining pics

The peak from which this glacier is coming down is definitely Raikot peak as was told to us by the hotel owner in Tarashing. Since I didn't know the name of the glacier so I called it Raikot Glacier but as told by Asif it is Tarashing glacier.....
Yes not being able to see Nanga Parbat from the Rupal face was a big disappointment for us although the natural beauty of Tarashing village made up for it....

Raikot Glacier descends from Raikot Peak on north side...

Ganalu Glacier descends from Ganalu Peak.

Yes you are right... Chongra is a group of peaks.. Chongra South, North etc.

Rama say Chongra... Tarishang say apko Raikot Peak and also Rupal say apko main peak nazar aati ha... Jo k iss northface(Fairy meadow) walay view ma hidder ha behind the main peaks...

Nanga Parbat is not on earth plates.. It is a separate mountain...Its not on any plate of earth it is separate Nanga Parbat Massif..

It proves that as per Quran-e-Pak mountains are like nails in the earth...

Also one thing to share.. Nanga Parbat is getting higher 7cm per year.. Even Islamabad is getting higher per year 2.5 cm or one inch..

Another thing... as per Geologist, the K-2 will get higher from Mount Everest in some future, due to indian plate and eurasion plate..
