and trust me apart from clarity spl wise difference wont be worth in spl department

toally agreed, u won't get an alpine mono in 12k,

and i can design u kik @ZZ box. expect a 40-50% gain in performance and whole new level of low frequency responce :D.

bro it's little bit long, not that much, as it is slim so u can also place it horizontally.............i suggest u to buy vtrek mono, very gud amp, as for some ppl said use alpine, they both aregonna bang this sub same ,but will have little diffference in clearity........and i have a box design for the type r , that's gonna bang ur sub very hard, u will definitely feel a boost up of perfomance....

sir is that a sealed box or a vented?? if vented than it is too too small..infact it's even small for a sealed box for type R 15" !! i think sealed should be around 1.75cuft-2cuft gross for the type R. that box wont work

this is the one i had before but it was way too big for me as it took almost all of my trunk space

of the three options kenwood is the better one.. but if you ask me, your sub will still be under powered..!! look for some other options! and lemme know the range, i'll look around as well...!
and for the enclosure, you need to go online, get the company specified enclosure size for this model, it'll be close to the size you have currently, then you can play a little with that enclosure to get the optimum output.
