i have tried roundport in a box bigger than that....too much port noise...no fun man..

you would need a bigger aero port, but than it wud have to be very long, which wont be possible..

and small radius port wont have to be long, but than too much port noise...

but lets see you pull this one off !!

sir ur sealed box is smaller than the required size plus with sealed you need more power. thats the reason techno is not playing well on your system

Sir havent you tried the company recommended vented box?? I had used it and it was amazing. much louder than sealed. and it was clean sounding too.

I think the company recommends a 2.9cuft gross volume. and after port and sub displacement it is about net 2.2cuft volume. That is pretty decent sounding and loud.

But it will be more than twice your current box i suppose. I had also used a 2.5cuft box with round port.

But I honestly dont think you can make ur current size box a truly vented one

yes. especially round port with type R is going to be a failure in a small box. unless if you somehow manage to get large port area. but than your tuning will be 45 or 50hz+ (assuming small box)

and please dont use small round port because wont be enough area.

Sir make company spec vented box. it will be more than sufficient for your need. trust me. and it wont be as big as ur last box

@jz: trust me man, if you want the real output, you'll have to get a little bigger box than you current one.. keep it ported if you want thumped bass.. and sealed if you want punch bass! you can increase its height if not length or width and give it round port using that space! or you could even use twin round ports.. one on ground, other on ceiling of the box.. with sub place between!

Priority one is box

priority 2 is amp.

Even a 400-500rms amp can work well if the Sub sits in ideal box

on the other hand even 10000rms will fail, if box not gud ya dig

Then I Leave That To You To Convince This Fat Man To Get A Proper Enclosure..
