It gets boring on the rest day in Payo so, during our trek, two of us went to the Army camp on the other side of the river. Had a nice cup of tea at the army camp and got back to Payo in around 5 hours.
Also at Concordia, on the rest day we took a guide and the two of us went to K2 base camp and Gilkey memorial. it was worth it!!
at the Gilkey memorial they have these Personal belongings and remains of the mountaineers who died on K2 with a short narration of how did they die. This one guy died while Skiing down K2. like skiing down laila peak is understandable but why would somebody try k2.
you guys can write and share everything about the k2 trek but words can not define Gondogoro
