Excellent trip alhamdolillah. Hired a jeep from Naraan and reached Babusar top in about 3.5 hours with 20 min stopover at Jalkhad. No picture, video or words can describe the real beauty of Babusar Top. It was simply SPECTACULAR. Were almost at the level of the peaks around. These are the same peaks which you can see from Naraan (Babusar is 6000 ft higher than Naraan). The fact which added to our immense enjoyment was the serenity as nobody except us was there. In fact, the road to Babusar was just opened the very day while from Babusar to Chilas was still closed. It seemed we were out of nowhere. The temperature was below zero and we experienced light snowfall as well.

from above thread, its confirmed that road from Naran to Babusar is open. is it completely open till Chilas.

It is not a good idea to stay in Naran and visit Shugran and come back. Shugran is in the middle of Islamabad and naran. So it would be better if either to visit Shugran on the way to naran or on the way back. In my opinion

Day1- Islamabad to Shugran , visit Siri pay a and night stay in Shugran
Day2- Shugran to Naran

Or the other way round
In this way you can save mony and time and your energy too by travelling less

@All, What will be the jeep rent from Naran to Noori Top and is it safe for kids

Brother as per info on pakwheels i dont think noori top is opened till now..
u should find a hotel in shogran i think if u go on week days.. u can also get the numbers of hotels and get prior booking also..

Sir I agree with u that he should visit shogran first instead of going back to shogran from naran, BUT Shogran is not in the middle of
Naran and Islamabad..

Hotels in Shogran are not an issue try Paradise or the Serenity . Both are charging around 2k for a room bu t you have to haggle. Road to Shogran is being widened and the work has started from the start so it is very bad for the first two KMS not worth destroying your car. We hired a diesel corolla for Rs 800.00 to go up and parked our car in the hotel @ 200 bucks a night, that is @ Paras.

there are many hotels in sughran.jeep traveling is very safe to sri paya.I stayed at lalazar cottage at the rate of 1500 rs per nigh on last friday including one extra mattress,one king size bed,hot water morning 7am to 3pm,cable tv 25 inch,nice lawn.the also have a hotel name lalazar hotel just behind the lalazar cottages.the rates in hotel with same facilities was 1800 rupees per night.In the front of lalazar hotel there is a hotel name skyview.i also checked it and the price were 2000 rupees per night.Lalazar hotel have their own resturan and dining hall.the manager and owner are good and take care of customers.

Lalazar cottages sughran,price on 8th june 2012 was 1500 rupees per night having one king size bed,one extra matress,cable tv,lawn with chairs and table,hot water from 7am to 3pm,big wash room.nice place to stay in budget.

Rates after 15th of June have been doubled so any1 can confirm the most recent rates.

Addy: Paid 5K for Naraan-Babusar-Naraan with stopovers at Jalkhad & Lulusar. Yes, it is safe but mind it that my youngest is 6 yrs. Jalkhad (river side) is an excellent picnic spot. Even if you don't go to Babusar, it is worth spending a few hrs at Jalkhad, you may have your own BBQ there. Kids can really enjoy.
