Naran is about to close down so if you are planning a trip then hurry-up as you may not have enough days before this place will be closed. Local People says that as soon as we will have rain then we will have snow all around the place so kindly check the weather forecast before planning a trip. Decent Number of Visitors were present in Naran where most of them have either arrived on second or third day of Eid. Roads were clear till Naran with no sight of snow on ground but there was snow on mountains top. During day, temperature was bearable with 15 C but at night it became cold as temperature would fall to 0 C. You will be ok if you have warmer clothes. Local Public says that they will start to close down the restaurants within next 10-15 days and will leave the area.
Rest of the details regarding the trip is as follow
Left for Naran around 4:30 a.m on Pejaro Junior from islamabad, with half an hour break in between we were able to reach their by 11:00 a.m. Straightway headed for Pines Hotel Naran and were offered a good room for Rs 1000 (OFF-SEASON RATES) which was immediately taken, offloaded the luggage and after an hour left straight away for Lulusar Lake. Road till Naran was in excellent condition with few bad patches which can easily be crossed through normal Vehicles. On way to Lulusar Lake, there were patches where road was covered with snow but just before JhalKhad, we were stopped by Police and they asked us to return as they said āitās not safe to travel ahead because of the security situationā so we headed straight back for Lake Saiful Muluk, since we were traveling on Pejaro Junior so was able to take it till Lake Saiful Muluk. Remaining 15 % of journey till Saiful-Muluk was done on snow.
Left back for Islamabad at 4:30 a.m on 30[SUP]th[/SUP]-Oct-12 and arrived at 10:30 a.m. I am going to share few pictures; It will give you a clear picture.
