just pump some cash into existing industry and it would be a job boom. Save the $$$$ idiots otherwise next up list is HinoPak closing due to flood of cheap buses from India and China. Pakistani mentality will never upgrade, driving crapers like mehran and revo are signs of patriotism here.

Come on man, your country does not benefit by supporting poor quality manufactures or wearing shalvar cameez, it is rather with right economic planning and support for industries

Do we really need indian buses when we are manufacturing low cost Quality buses (daewoo, Hinopak) at home.

they may be made/assembled right here completely on some phased deletion programme..!
daewoo might be an indian company..!

they have installed the plant at karachi..!
and have the capacity to produce thousands of em in numbers..!

The indian buses shown in the pics are not having anything so special. The pakistani buses are more beautiful. Secondly why should we promote their industry when our own automobile sector is in dire need of such big contracts. Who will guarantee the availablilty of spares when there is tension on our borders (which occurs every 5-6 years). Paksitan Govt should not have allowed indian firms to bid. Till now the transport is running without Indian buses so why ordered these buses?
I m against it.

i thought the same..until u ride a hino bus.. NED has got some..the back breaking ride isnt comfortable at all. Heck, a prison van feels comfortable. You may say the same about tata but i have rode a tata and it feels solid. Definitely not anywhere close to Mercedes. Even Volvo isn't close to Mercedes but as a public transport tata is fine.

The buses u got in NED must be the economy version. U must have seen the pics of those indian buses having that punishing seats used for local intra-city transport. What do u think that the buses imported by govt for local transport will be having reclining comfort seats, I dont think so. After seeing the loads of pic of these buses I still couldnt figure anything special in them which we didnt get in our current intercity buses operated by Daewoo or other tranport groups. Pakistani bus body builders can make any type of exterior and interior, just tell them ur requirement. We should encourage/support our local industry, even if it costs a bit more than Indian buses. India takes a pride in using local brands so why shouldn`t we follow them in this regards as well.
I M AGAINST THIS DEAL. USE PAKISTANI BUSES. I LOVE PAKISTAN.

THAT VOLVO is great but its a coach, not a bus. I personally think the hinopak cng bus should have been the best option. Its got Toyota Technology. I will try to post pix of buses and coaches in UK

ahaan just today, i saw a HinoPak bus here in Dubai with Dxb number plate.......the shape was exactly same as i saw in Pakistan....but i am unsure if such a trade has ever been done between UAE and Pakistan?....anyone knows about it???
