I along with five friends went to Gwadar on the Makran Coastal Highway on Sunday and came back on Monday.
The drive took approximately 8 hours going and 8 hours coming.
The coastal highway is simply supreme and driving on it at speed is a fantastic experience especially if you are a driving enthusiast. The scenery is pretty bleak and daunting (although it looks good) until you hit the coast and go into the mountains - then it becomes breathtaking. And the highway itself is awesome.
