No doubt the work done by nadeem bhai has become a reference if anyone wants to do it in a genuine way....

I have gone through same and facing problem with cylinder and sleeve issue...

I want to take opinion in the light of all comments from xulfiqar and msabbasi..
Mostly the sleeves istalled are of cast iron...

I think the original sleeve is of stainless steel... So i want to put a stainless steel sleeve in my GTO cylinder with proper and accurate intake and exhaust holes.. Im sure its gonna work awsome.

Please comment on making steel sleeves and any place in Lahore who is expert in this type of fabrication.

Re sleeving is very difficult in our country, so just replace the cylinder.

Original Cylinder Very High and also not available..
So i ilke to resleeve it near to original specs.... If not ideal.

I've been reading your post for hours. I'm amazed by your restoration work. I am from Argentina and I own a Kawa GTO since 1986. My father bought it for me when I was 12 years old, I'm 48 now. Anyway, I want to thank you for posting the service manual. My bike has been out of use for at least 15 years so I have to service it. Plus, recently somebody tried to steal it from my house and in the process they cut all the wires. It was a clean cut so I have no problem fixing it. I've rarely used the bike, so it has only 11.000 kilometers. Of course its in mint condition, although I have had a few minor events in which I made some scratches to GTO. Nothing noticeable though.

I'll post some pictures later. Big hug to all the forum members and again congratulations for your work. I still cant believe you did all this restorations by yourself.

I wouldn't have dared to do it if you hadn't done this before. Mine is broken, so I will have to fix it in some way, I hope some epoxy 2 component welding do the job. Anyway, seven years after your post I'm following your steps from the other part of the world.

Thanks mate. I have to reckon that it is a nice hobby. I don’t know if I’ll be able to start the GTO soon but fixing things piecemeal, is undoubtedly, part of the joy.

Assalamoalaikum all, just revisited this thread. Mashallah nadeem bhai ap ne bohat achi restore ki hai ye bike aur ap ka bohat shukriya manual upload krnay ka meray bohat kaam aayi hai. Mai bhi apni GTO 125 abhi restore kr rha hun. Ap se kuch cheezon ki advice lena chahta hun k kin cheezon ka khayal rakhna hai engine bandtay howay? any tips or advice will be appreciated.
