bro you made me sit till 1.35am while i have to go for work tomorrow too...i must say EXTRAORDINARY for your knowledge, work and specially choice of every single part...the thread was quite informative and once again refreshed my desire to have a like thing, best of luck for the project...do let us know about the total time and cost you have paid (though it is priceless)

one thing i wanted to ask is about suspension...have you done something to make it more comfortable than stock??? i mean shocks...plus what else you have to do to get it lowered???

i would also ask experts about a 76 mark II for an alternate? what about her parts and reliability as a daily usage family car when you are considering economy as well?

What effect would a broader tyre & rim would make on suspension?

Would Rough bumpy drive be the result of it ??

And if the drive is normal with lesser width tyre , as stock one, could these broader tyre and rims b the culprit for a bumpy ride ?

Alll depends upon RUBBER, If the tyre is old the rubber will be hard and ride will be rough

Believe me its better to read than actually doing restoration in Pakistan.. It requires patience, and good chunk of money.

Steering geometry would be off. The scrub radius of the wheels would go further out, causing the steering wheel not to come back to center as easily after a turn as it normally would. You may also hear scrubbing noise on the road while turning. It would also put more wear on the wheel bearings.
