This is a good car i mean come on 4 million for a V6 thats just amazingg
One should not derail the car for not to be a mass market car but who knows Br-V people were very skeptical that this kind of car is not for Pakistan but is success & selling alot atleast what i see in Lahore
Even if it's not for mass market still for niche market this is good car & this is probably not the car they would depend on for long time.
People in Pakistan are buying 4.8 million 4 Door dala of toyota so how is this car expensive since it's kia what people expect it should be almost free.
With the features comfort & Horsepower & Warranty I think there are potential buyers if not many & soon they should launch Rio ,Sportage & the shape of cars people like in our country more.

With regards to pricing the Sportage, if Suzuki (with established network and presence) is unable to sell decent numbers of Vitara (which is infact a very good SUV) that means this lineup has a niche market and you cannot go wrong with the pricing here.

These guys will have to price these products in a way that a guy like me who goes out to buy a Corolla or a Civic comes back home with a Vitara or a Sportage, even if I did not want to buy them or didnt need them.

Kia has to keep this in mind or may be they dont care as evident with Carnival and Rio launch.

I think Vitara doesn't sell because of the "s badge". When you're selling obsolete stuff like Mehran, Bolan and Ravi with the same badge, ppl really won't like to buy a 3.5m worth vehicle with same badging.

In India Suzuki is trying to create a sub premium image for their upside vehicles like s cross etc because they face same issue there.

I went there drove both Carnival impressed me coz of 3.3V6 felt sportage a little bit underpowered as I was expecting it to carry a bigger displacement engine beside that build quality is really good hope they maintain while assembling locally

This is what i heard, they will launch local assembler Sportage and RIO in 2019

I believe they may test the market with some imported units some 2,3 months before local production begins so they can be assured what are the right specifications and if they need to change anything in the locally produced variants depending on the response.

Rio is not even launched yet, pricing with carnival is not insane, not comparable to Vitara, that thing is 1.6L over expensive car, it may be a good SUV but Suzuki is more focused to sell cultus because they earn more on it rather than selling SUv which is a CBU, so their focus is also different, people are not being offered with a good SUV yet, we are still getting expensive sedans, we always compare the pricing of sedan with anything else, so there is still something to find out about our likes for SUVs, we didn't get the best of SUVs yet, RIO is expected at 12-14 and I saw the one standing in display was quite promising , it's still manageable for Kia to offer RIO in such a price, u need to be positive rather than start spreading undirected speculations

I saw in a video that the base model for RIO in the US costs 14,000$. So i doubt that the pricing of Rio here would be 12-14 lacs

Base variant of US mat differ from ours, I noticed the one on display didn't have a climate control, no reversing camera, parking sensors, no blind spot detection , I didn't see any traction control or steering adjustment,
I hope it was a power steering though, and multimedia steering options, with power side mirrors and dual frontal airbags was there, power windows and a good overall use of fabric
Definitely not a very experiensive setup, after grand carnival we expect KIA to be very competitive with the price range of RIO, I hope it be around 12-14 fingers crossed

Us base variant include 7 or 5 inch touch screen, rear camera display, cruise controls, smart entry, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, and that too with a 1600cc engine, that's the difference a huge difference, this variant cost US 14200$
