Nothing is cheap these days some how good fuel economy compensates for expensive parts and other essential things.

Hope you all are doin good. I am in need of some advice from K-Town personnel regarding where to find the rooftop antenna for the Picanto, as one on my family car's antenna was stolen, and I am only left with the option to buy the Toyota ones that are available in Magazine Line.

I would like to disagree with you on one thing. It can give average of more than 10 kmpl. I have a Picanto A.T and it's been driven around 9.5 k km and i still have to get the second oil change. Now I drive with a very light foot mind you and i rarely go above 2k rpm unless needed. Within city without A/C its giving me 13.5 kmpl and when i used to take ring road for my return route from office to home (32 km Distance) it used to give me around 18 kmpl again without A/C. All calculations done manually, I don't believe what the car tells me as its showing me 6.0 l per 100 km which if calculated comes up to 16.6 kmpl. I bought it from a Friend and i still have to use it in Summer with A/C but it will probably fall to 11 kmpl which is still more than 10 kmpl. One thing also I read somewhere that we should turn off the eco mode in this car as it puts undue pressure in the transmission as it resists the need to shift the gear when the car demands it which uses more fuel. after reading this i turned it off. After reading your comment im curious to see if my Mileage will improve with eco on and then will comment my progress here. Also the car is spectacular from the inside and it feels like were sitting in a mid size sedan. Cheers.

U have to right to disagree but reality. Is different u can ask . Different owners . I live in Islamabad.. it gives 11 max .. mostly 10 with 2k rpm . With normal traffic mean no red light.. ring road well ok but .. in traffic mix traffic 4 people on board 8.5 km per litre.. we have 3 picanto in my family all have same mileage 10 11 max.. if i drive in pindi .. then 9 or 8.5 well .. this car has 2 drawback

1. Milegae is pathetic
2. Back seat space crumbled .

Well it very much depends on where you live.

I use Hi-octane(why, I have my reason), 33 psi tire pressure(top-up every week).

A lot of folks dont understand this and i will not explain myself.
For preventive maintenance after every 5000km's, based on availability, I use Liqui moly Fuel system cleaner or Valve cleaner .
During first 8000km i used Liqui moly Cera Tec and during brake-in phase that's initial 1500km, I drove it with only 1 passenger again, I have my reasons.
In 1 year and 5 months i have driven it 16000km's.

Within City it gives me 15km per liter
Islamabad highway it gives me 20km per liter at speed of 80km an hour.
On Motorway drove it between 100km to 110km and it gave me 18 to 20 km liter. Travelled twice on it from Isloo to Sialkot via motor-way and it ate 25 liters and covered 488 kilometers.
Isoo to Harnoi via Motorway the average was 19 km per liter.
And Isloo to Hunza it was between 16 liters per liter, High Octane is not available over there and fuel quality is highly questionable.

Once you reach 120km you can feel the drag on the car, its super happy between 100 to 110 .

All of above calculations are tank to tank.

In Bumper to Bumper traffic average is really poor. With AC its gives me 13.5 to 14.

I met a friend of friend yesterday who owns a Picanto MT 2019 model and was lucky to have a ride with them.

The back legroom is not really cramped. We were all between 5'5 to 5'8. There were about 4 inches of space between my knees and seat. I was very suprised and this was the first thing I noticed. I will say try it out yourself.

Yes, Alto is very spacious no doubt.

I also talked about the fuel average, and he gets 13km/l from Buffer Zone to Korangi. Heavy traffic on Shahra-e-faisal and Millenium.

Sir manual Cultus does 16-17 and alto does 20+. Basically 13 to manual city bhi de deti hai. Mileage is the main reason of failure

Yes I agree, the mileage is on the lower end. Especially the AT variant which is around 8-10, which I am interested in. That's the average of SUV kind vehicle. My interest is because of quality and comfort in that price bracket.

Sir Yes i own civic but this does not make me do comparison with Picanto
I own an Alto too and would have preferred picanto considering i waited 4 months to get Alto and Picanto was readily available at that time. I only compare with Alto since hatch back purpose is just enough for family daily driver. Picanto can perform better but Cultus performs even better then. I have reservation with the fuel consumption and rear space. It's finishing is better than competitors but that's all. 12-13 kmpl is for good economical sedans and 16-17kmpl is what i expect from 1000cc category.

In my opinion, sir you are exaggerating the fuel efficiency figures. In my case, i never get more than 12.5 to 13 avg. with A/C in Islamabad driving mostly on Srinagar Highway AKA Kashmir Highway.

Picanto is huge incompetence on Kia Pakistan's planning and strategy team part. Its a grave mistake of missed opportunity.

In country like Pakistan and within 1000cc category, fuel consumption is a definite and justified concern which they completely ignored. They would have easily outpaced cultus in local market.

My Picanto has mostly commute in Saddar and likewise congested areas and with AC it hardly returns 8.5 kmpl and with an added stress of keeping the foot light so as not to get busted for fuel cost.
