If you do a quick search for the generation of Picanto we got , you will find that the 1L and 1.25L Picanto is giving fuel economy figures of between 21 to 24 kilometres per liter on average on official specification or independent reviews from overseas market. You will see roughly something in between 4.2 to 4.6L/100KM. PKDM Picanto is on Euro 2 while same generation of Picanto in Europe was Euro 6 for 2015 Picanto.
All cars brand and model in Pakistan dont give same level of fuel economy figures as overseas. Fuel is one reason and secondly our PKDM cars are tuned on local fuel mostly and run rich as far as I know. Also rev higher comparing same model from other markets. I have personally experienced it and many of my friends who has driven a 1.8 Corolla of 1.8 civics back to back here in US and Pakistan clearly felt the difference , how the engine idle or rev in certain gear at certain speeds. We are still on more than a decade old emission standards as well.
We will never get same level of fuel economy or performance from same engine , models as reported or tested by independent agency from overseas markets. Local oil refineries still using a lot of metal additives to bump the octane rating.
