I searched Kia official pages and was not able to find prices of kia picanto parts and regular maintenance and inspection costs. Will be nice if some owner can share that as well.

Can you also share parts price for kia picanto. For example, oil filter, air filter etc. I have heard that kia parts are way more expensive than suzuki cultus. Is that true?

Hi folks. How is the experience of KIA Picanto. I am planning to buy an automatic hatchback. The obvious options are KIA Picanto or Suzuki Cultus ags. Which one is recommended. What is the expected upkeep cost and spares costs. Resale is also an important factor.

Another option is to buy an automatic Suzuki Swift 2018 or 2019 model. Will this one a better choice then both Picanto and Cultus.

Picanto have an actual automatic gearbox while cultus ags have a controller to shift gear automatically. Picanto have better quality and finishing as compare to cultus for sure, looks are subjective, both cars looks great, cultus does look bit roomy.

Picanto spares & maintenance is quite expensive and KLM is greedy as hell. Another issue is low resale at the moment. Cultus have better fuel economy, reasonable spares & maintenance cost and it resale is very good.

Swift is great car of course better than both but its a fuel guzzler and resale is not good.

Have been seeing a lot of Picantos in Hyderabad lately. 2 doctors at my hospital own one each. Super satisfued with their purchases' as they both have kept Cultus VXL for 3 years.

Its personal choice, I would suggest that you go for the test drive of both Cultus Vxl Ags & Picanto Automatic before finalising. Do not listen to anyone as no one is going to regret if you make a wrong decision. Buy whichever you like as both are cars to be used for transport.

Overall car is very good in terms of quality, test drive quite smooth as well but I am not happy with the engine noises in the cabin. I suggest you first take Test Drive before booking one. In case of leasing do discuss it over dealership they have some deals that can help you get one in a month. At least that's what they told me.

Chalein let's talk about something positive. I had a very good experience with KLM. Will not go into details for now but just wanted to tell you that:

Booked my car on Sept 1st, didn't pay the additional 50k.
Car delivery was committed for Sept tentatively but got delayed to November. However, I was compensated for the delay, not in monetary terms though.

This customer experience is unheard of in the Pakistani sector before. I had to wait for my Honda for 07 months back in 2017 despite a committment of 3 months from the dealer but no compensation; price increased thrice in that duration, had to pay it.

Really impressed by KLM and the way they treated me.

Seeing alot of new Picanto in Lahore in the past few days. Maybe its catching on because people are not satisfied with jatka auto of cultus.

Auto tranny, Lahore to Rawalpindi, 3 adults and 2 children, with the boot filled to the brim, through motorway, AC on and driven between 120-130 kph and sometimes higher. Salt range uphill speed was maintained around 80 mostly.
Total fuel cost 2700.
Car total mileage is 3200 Kms.
Drive was good and smooth not really felt as a tiny car. engine performance was v respectable for such a tiny car.
PS. My experience on swift 2010 manual was 10-11km/l on same route and around the same 9-10 in a civic 2014anual tranny again.
For me with my driving style it gave a reasonable performance.
