Hello everyone, I have been monitoring this thread since last year since the car came out and in November 21, I got my car delivered, 3.5 V6 in Red Color.
If you want a comfortable powerful SUV at an extreme value, then this car is a no brainer. My family consists of 6 and thanks to KLM for introducing this vehicle to the market. Rather than the pricey substitutes from Toyota with sub par quality, this car beats the ball out of the park with the initial quality. One of the most smoothest and powerful rides i ve ever seen in a PKDM vehicle (having both an Altis and Civic X also). Although the interior is a bit dated, its very ergonomic and just as @mafiadog described, it makes you too comfortable during your drives as you kind of sink into the seats. The adjustability is good, lumbar support could’ve been better with 4 way as supposed to 2 ways and driver seat memory would’ve been a cherry on top if you have 2 or more drivers. When it comes to entertainment, CarPlay is my go to as the OEM panel is much much better than those crappy chinese options out there. The 6 speaker system is very good for a PKDM vehicle with adjustable ample bass, not too loud to rattle interior components and little to no distortion, just make sure your source is pumping out good audio (Spotify or apple music, no youtube audio pls). Wireless charging is just a gimmick, it would’ve made sense if there was wireless Carplay but yet again its output is very slow. Additionally, the leather seats are thick and are of very high quality, rear seats are a plus if you want to haul people (meant for kids only or if a flexible adult is willing to sit there), all seats fold to the floor with negligible lip, sunroof is fantastic and almost everything else is perfect.
When it comes to driving, the grip and power delivery is very smooth and robust. The V6 is doing its job well with good amount of torque and it definitely pushes it instead of dragging it. Although the KIA claim of 7.8 seconds is not almost true, I got around 8.1 but again this car is not meant for drag racing but its much much better than 2.7 crap from Toyota. Also, if you are driving in the city and will rarely take it to the motorway, I will recommend taking the 2.4 variant as fuel efficiency is not the V6’s main focal point. I have driven the 2.4 also and its drive is almost similar to the 2.0 Sportage.
My recommendations for color options would be a dark color as the plastic trim on the wheel arches and rear bumper would then be camouflaged. My suggestion would be Black, Red or Blue with PPF. Also get it tinted as the big windows would make you feel uncomfortable around traffic.
