Alhamdulillah got delivery of Sorento 3.5.
Upgraded from civic oriel X.
Alhamdulillah totally satisfied by decision.
My requirements were 7 seats with max space inside, third seats having ac vents, pano roof, reliability factor, extensive dealerships with a strong company at the helm of affairs.
Offoading capabilities weren't required by me so my decision making got super easy as sorento ticked all the boxes.
Not to mention almost ready delivery.
Important points noted during these couple of days.
Pros
1. Extremely comfortable seats, suspension and drive wise.
2. Good cabin insulation.
3. Good NA engine and transmission without lag, quite responsive rather.
4. Solid braking with traction control kicking in action when required.
5. Best in class space inside with spacious 7 seats having sliding and reclining options.
6. Good ac vents for last / third seat.
7. Solid feeling in interior quality as in sturdy material and also rugged heavy feeling on closing doors, giving a reassuring thud, overall giving a noncheap feel.
8. Auto hold and e brake are very good options.
9. After sales team are very reassuring.
Cons
1. Resale. But am not worried about it yet as Insha'Allah Ta'Allah planning to keep it for quite sometime. Although I have seen it increasing gradually on roads, I guess its catching up in sales and ready delivery is attracting people in addition to the good points mentioned above.
2. I had a rear infotainment screen in Civic Oriel X, so I kind of miss that here. Kids used to control music etc themselves.
3. If third seat could also be reclined, would've been nice.
So far it's been a couple of days so the review ongoing
