I wonder if anyone has worked out the full cost of company maintenance over 4 years, would be a useful calculation in evaluating whether it is even worth it to maintain the company warranty (especially for those who don't use their cars heavily and are restricted mostly to city use).

I'm seriously thinking of walking out of this warranty shit. My car is used sparingly only on long routes. For local I have a 2018 Pixis which is serving me really well. I'm very shaky to be honest to be continuing with this. Let's see where I end up. When the time for 10k check up comes, I'll make a decision

I doubt KIA will facelift this Sportage, it looks good enough and is doing very well, so we won't be seeing the new logo on it. I expect they will launch the new generation once Corolla 12th gen and Civic 11th gen have launched in Pakistan

I got the new logo on my Sportage nonetheless. Only cost 200 . Pasted with heat gun over the existing logo. No modification, plus, will also preserve the original logo underneath

I agree with you that Shell Helix HX7 5w30 Engine oil isn't that good in comparison with Fully Synthetic Engine oil options that are available in the market like Havoline, LiquiMoly, etc., but it's not that bad like you're saying. As far as it's the original one, you can use it without any problem for a longer period of time.

I'm comparing it with LM and Mobil 1 brother which are recommended for such engines and on new cars. My only point is that it's totally unjustified to press the customer to use specific oil. Yes, grade must be stuck to, but the brand should not be enforced on customers

The latest update which I got from KIA motors last week is that the delivery timeline for Alpha is December 2021 and for FWD/AWD, it's February 2022.

I think KIA must bring some changes in its 2022 production.They may call it facelift but it may be necessary to remain competitive.Though I appreciate the ingenuity in producing your own logo but if KIA doesn't change it more and more people will follow you and get a printed one.Brilliant idea!!!!
Now coming to a few additions KIA must change Logo, add better quality fog lamps, give two reversing lights by removing the fog lamp in one light at the rear, put in a wireless charger as in Seronto and provision of automatic locking of all doors on start/movement of car.But I have my doubts if any of the local car assemblers have the gaul to bring any improvements as long as their product sells.

Agreed....less fog lights thing. I think Sportage has one of the best fog lights out there. It has very good through and great cut off being projectors. Secondly, it has both yellow and white tinge to it. From up close, it looks yellow but from far off it looks white. I'm a huge fan of Sportage fogs

This is a bit puzzling to me. I booked Alpha at the start of August and delivery date given was Oct 2021. Why has it suddenly jumped to December, does this mean mine will be delayed too?

I can't say anything for sure, if they have given you the tentative delivery date of Oct 2021, they must have been asked for the remaining payment of your Sportage by now if you book on the partial payment.
The best way is to call the dealership you book your Sportage from and ask them about when to submit the remaining balance as you have to deliver the vehicle in Oct 2021 according to the PBO, based on their reply, you can easily judge the status of your Sportage.

As per the official KIA Motors Pakistan Twitter page, Sportage Alpha's infotainment system size upgraded from 7-inch to 8-inch like FWD and AWD, can anyone confirm this?
