Guys a quick advice from as many members as possible.KIA is giving date of delivery of AWD/FWD for Feb/Mar respectively.Do you think it may go beyond these dates?Secondly looking at Pros and Cons which variant would be better in all aspects especially maintenance/resale.I would highly appreciate your advice.There are people who own both and would be in the best position to give such advice.

I don't think so, they are already extending the dates just to be on time.

In my opinion, Sportage FWD is the best value to money among other variants and as far as I know, Sportage FWD resale is also very good.

The rest is your personal choice.

I'm expecting delivery of my KIA Sportage FWD early next month. Can someone please comment on whether should I opt for Ceramic, Glass or various other types of protection. If yes, some shop suggestions would be helpful. My plan is to keep the car at least 5 years. I understand such coatings/protection processes void the paint warranty from the manufacturer, but can't understand the usefulness of that warranty at all so isn't it better to get additional protection for better looks and durability?

Just to recap;

Is it worth it to get new cars protected with Ceramic/Glass coatings?
Recommended shops to get the coatings?
What does KIA Paint Warranty entails?

Booking: Early June

The only worthwhile (though expensive) treatment is PPF. Ceramic and glass coating, come what may which quality u go for, starts fading sooner than later......at least way way earlier than what they claim. Specially on white colour, coating starts to fade and get yellowish after a while. Ppl might disagree with me but the fact remains PPF is the only legit and long lasting treatment out there

Well well well, this puts the glory Vs Sportage to an end. Seems like glory pro is being sold at insane rates like other Chinese cars in Pakistan. ACC to this video there is no way u can compare a gloryPro to Sportage or even civic turbo. Lol.

It's your choice, but in my experience, Glass/Ceramic/Diamond coating is almost similar with the thickness of the coating actually making the difference, the main component used in any of these coatings is Silicon oxide (SiO2), or in some cases, Silicon carbide (SiC), and their life range is normally from 3-5 years.

If you're from the twin cities, then Carbographics is one of the reputable shops for the job.

Clean and protect your cat at home

Coatings are very good if you take care of them but what I think is they are not value to money if you can apply a wax on monthly basis.

Other than coating ppf is a good opt.

I think you should make some car care setup.

Like a nice shampoo, wheel cleaner, apc, interior protectant, fabric cleaner, sealant/wax, polish.

Some microfiber towels and a bunch of brushes.

For looks a carnuba based wax like tac system shinee is a very good option.

For durability of four to five months in pakistan fusso coat is a very good option.

In twin cities there are auto extreme, denmok, carbographics
In lahore luxe auto spa is there.

There are many people who say that ceramic spray is also a coating and other things are also.
So be always careful and opt for right one.

All dealerships are like that. I asked Rawal motors if i bring my own part but they refused & insisted on getting part from their shop. A simple fan belt for corolla 2010 costs 12000 at dealership. A radiator pipe plastic joint (installed near battery) got cracked, they charged 4200 for it with 2000 labor cost. Outside it is available for 1200 to 1500rs. So better buy genuine parts from outside.

Thanks for detailed suggestions white much appreciated. The thing is I'm planning to research and buy such products but the excitement and willingness to keep the car clean regularly fades as the time passes.
