1) It is like this even in Audi. When doors are locked, they can be open from inside without unlocking them.
2) Kids should NOT be sitting in the front row. And if they are sitting in the 2nd row, you can use child lock.

Can anyone share pictures of their car tires which are 10k+ driven? I have seen so many sportage even less driven but tire were chipped off on many places..not sure how safe it is to continue driving with them.

2k pe rmonth? my total monthly running is MAX 400 KM, that too currently is divided between 2 cars. I will 100% sure lose my warranty in the case of Sportage. That's a deal breaker.

Anyone have any idea as to why this has happened? Apparently, it has happened in 2021 too but then it was due to some semiconductor shortage.

Sure, actually I was looking to buy sportage and checked many sportage in the 2nd hand car market from 8k driven to 25k driven. Usually, tire should still appear new with this mileage but to my surprise not a single car has perfect condition tires. Some were very badly chipped off that you couldn't take the risk and would want to change them immediately.

Mine is less than 5K driven in 9 months. Tires look like the way they did when brand new. Usual Karachi broken roads usage and one trip to Lahore and back.
I’ve heard and seen stories of what you are saying, could be due to tires, or maybe people tried driving on bad terrain thinking this is an SUV But I agree, tires shouldn’t give up this easy and chip off.
Anyone has experience of changing tires to Michelins or Yokohamas and then running some tens of thousands of km?

400 per month, that is quite less.
In this case you will face unnecessary oil change expense at least, and some other maintenance items thrown in. I managed to avoid some expenses like brake service and filter changes because the mileage wasn’t even close to the period that Kia has set.
Eg. My “5,000 km service” was at 1,700 km and “10,000 km” was at 2,800 I think.

My drive is low like yours i.e max 400km per month. How did you manage to convince the dealership for increasing the duration or mileage required for the maintenance services etc?

I just asked them nicely
Told them to justify the service of the mileage hasn’t been achieved. Eg. Brake service, filters, cat con service which are related to mileage. They agreed to bypass on the 10K service but engine oil change was still done.
I’m assuming the next service will be a bigger dent as I would have actually crossed 5K by then. Let’s see.

With the suspension in Sportage's booking, whats your take on booking Hundayi Tucson instead?

Equally good as both cars are essentially the same under the hood.Shape/interior are entirely ones personal choice.However Nishat has not done any good to its reputation by renegading on their previous commitments to customers.Their dealership network at least in Karachi is still below par.If you go for Tucson ensure delivery deadlines.

Looks great MashaAllah as good as new. I just got myself used sportage fwd 2020 20k driven. Its tires are chunked off from many places. During the pursuit of finding the car i checked approx 7-8 cars and not a single one has tires which aren't chunked off. Couple of cars were only 8k driven, others were less than 25k kms. Check below photos

Strange. Very strange. These btw are typical marks of tyres damaged through snow chains used in Murree and other hilly areas
