Checked my sportage fwd oil today. Is this normal amount? Three dots lesser than full.

Car is 15K driven. Last oil change was 3200kms before, 9 months ago.

My Sportage is driven 40,000 in 2 years and with the exorbitant oil change cost I am thinking to not get it replaced by dealership anymore. What is the preferred replacement engine oil and more importantly where to get the original one? also if someone can guide a reliable place where other oil change components available in DHA, Lahore.

Well, one way to avoid high cost of dealership is to change oil and filter only from them, this way you may get some items in warranty (in case) as i compared their oil rates to Total Oil rate and it was almost the same.

Ditch the dealership.

Use 5w30 fully synthetic oil of Havoline. Global oil giant with official presence in Pakistan and reasonable rates.

Can also go with other brands having official presence like Total (but prefer havoline), Shell (only HX7 PLUS not simple HX7 oil).

I am going to do that tomorrow. Will report back. Bought oil and genuine filter. Costed me 8500 total. Dealership only oil and filter change costs 12k these days.

Got the oil+filter chainged. The shield has to come off when changing oil, it has around 10-11 screws and some rivets. Make sure the worker doesn’t lose them. Rest of the process was pretty simple. I serviced the ac and cabin filters myself to be safe.

The new sportage isnt good imo. If hyundai launches new tuscon it will be the leader for sure.

why would they officially announce it ? if they announce it , they wont be able to sell the rest of sportage CKDs?

They are not going to announce it unless 90-95% of the stock is cleared
