Hey. Coating will provide another layer of protection over the clear coat and give that extra gloss and shine. There are no as such cons but you'll have to maintain the ceramic coating so it lasts longer. Weekly wash and a nice Quick detailer should do the job.

Pro: It will protect the body paint.

Con: Kia provides 4 years body paint warranty for any faults which occur like fading/flaking/cracks.
This ceramic coating or any other application on the paint will void that 4 years warranty.

I decided not to go for any such application after this information.

Otherwise it's your choice.

Have been a silent observer in this forum and it has been an interesting read.

Need some kind info, am thinking of getting an AWD on lease. Waited for Tucson but the way they are handling things down there I am inclined on getting on to the Sportage bandwagon .

Has anyone here recently got it on lease?
Is the lease process smooth? Which bank is better nowadays?
When did you get delivery of the vehicle?
How's the experience so far?, as in any specific issues or serious warranty related problems as being hyped on forums?
How's the behaviour of dealerships on routine checkups? Am already an Oriel X user and pretty happy with it. Luckily have had very good experience with the Honda people on routine maintenance visits.
Getting AWD in addition to Oriel X, which I adore.

There is high chance that any kind of paint warranty claim will not be entertained by local automakers, so its better to get the coating.

No. Price hike won't effect your lease. If you lease on variable rate then only change in kibor will effect you

I asked from KIA regarding paint warranty they informed me that Paint is not covered under warranty.

Subsequent price hikes have no impact on monthly lease payments regardless you take fixed or variable rate auto loan. That's because bank will pay the full amount of vehicle at the time of booking (along with your downpayment) and that loan amount is fixed. In case of price hike, you will have to pay that in cash to the dealer yourself.

So technically speaking, if I get it from eg Askari Bank and am lucky enough to get an AWD in 2-3 months and price hike comes after I get custody of the vehicle, I will not pay additional cost in monthly leases?

If the price hike comes after you get delivery, you won't have to pay anything to anyone. If it comes during your waiting time after booking but before delivery, you will have to pay that price hike to the dealer. Your monthly lease amount in both cases will be unchanged as it would be already determined at the time of booking.

As for the price increase, well it is a bit due for Sportage which hasn't seen that much price increases compared to all its peers...a little push from exchange rate depreciation will inflate our new year gift even further.
