Can you tell why are you switching from Sportage so early,?

Two reasons of switching from sportage

Oshan is a car that is giving more features with same price of sportage.

Also another reason is am feeling that sportage prices is going to drop massively, kyun k new entrants are coming every month, jetour and others also on the way, you can see.

So before lose more money in selling sportage later, i was thinking that to switch from sportage early and get oshan with more features and seeing its market value increasing day by day.

i have no friend or relative having oxhan so i have no idea how is the oxhan future sense as compared to sportage old generation.

apart from features and VFM I don't think Oshan's value will be increasing. All cars are going to depreciate if the exchange rates remain stable in near future.

I sold last month my KIA Sportage AWD White 2023 model driven only 568 KM registered in Punjab for 82.50 lacs. If you could fetch a price of 83.50 to 84 Lacs if yours is AWD. If FWD you can reduce 5 lacs in price.

sportage has very very good market now as new model is very expensive. Oshan will not be an upgrade.. its ugly and unlike haval has proper cartoonish chinese feel..

In looks Oshan is actually better.. from interior it’s debatable.

Cartoon right now is the old ancient Sportage with no features, ugly looks.

Subjective, I like Oshan from the back much more than the front.

Haval H6 looks absolutely like a Chinese toy from the back. That single light running across the back.

Haval Jolion looks much better.

Looks are subjective, useless to debate on this.
My personal opinion is Haval and Oshan both look modern. But yes Sportage look old school.

Sportage is a reliable SUV and made its market like Toyotas, lets see the reliability of Chinese cars after 5 years or 150k plus kms to judge their reliability, i can easily make a list of so called options in Haval/Oshan which are turned off by drivers in Pakistan and only good in sales lists.

Both Haval and Oshan were launched in 2022. It's already 4 years passed. So far no major issue reported.

Sportage got sales because there was no alternative back in the day.

Now nobody buys a Sportage cuz much better options available. It’s not Corolla like evergreen.

Also they killed the new model Sportage by massively overpricing it.

My friend’s 2020 AWD Sportage had an engine issue where it would suddenly shut down while driving but restart normally. We took it to KIA Macca, but they couldn’t find any error. However, they recommended replacing the ECU card, which would cost around 4.3 lakh rupees. Instead, we went to an outside mechanic who confirmed it was an ECU issue and replaced it with a used ECU for 1.5 lakh rupees. He offered a 2-month warranty, whereas KIA provided a 6-month warranty, but the price difference was significant. The issue is now resolved. The mechanic mentioned that quite a few Sportages are experiencing ECU card problems lately. While I am unsure if this is an emerging issue, the good news is that aftermarket parts are readily available at less than half the price.

On February 12th, 2025, my vehicle was sent to Hyundai South for bodywork under an insurance claim, where it remained until March 3rd, 2025. The car was returned to me without a road trial. Does Sportage and Tucson have the same ECU?

When the platform and engine is same so ECU must also be same.

I believe the hardware is the same, manufactured by Continental. According to the mechanic, this ECU is used across multiple models like the Sorento, Carnival, and others. However, each vehicle requires its specific software to be flashed/programmed onto the same ECU hardware.
