But until the introductory price.. soon after the difference between them will grow.. Also it depends on personal finances as well.. I know people who were ready to buy Grande but now cant buy it because it went out of the range.. for them Sportage is impossible and i am sure there are many people out there who are in same position and its the case with any car make and model after these recent increases...
If the sales figuers for Grande or Civic is effected or will effect due to price increase, the sales numbers for Sportage statistically would not be that positive.
In brief, if someone has finances available, for him/ her even a base price of 5.5 Million Sportage will not matter as these buyers would not crossshop Grande anyway.
In other markets, these crossovers almost overlap sedans in pricing, so buyer have easy decision making and thats the reason globally sedan sales are plunging.
Overall Sportage has more features and equipment comparing any other locally produced vehicles but then again it depends if that sedan buyer has now enough money in bank to spare another few hundred thousand especially after the inflation and uncertainty which has hit daily life starting from basic daily grocery..
