stonic low end torque is a problem so it gives more prominent feel

There is no low end torque issue. its ample and car drives very smoothly from the get go. please dont say things just based upon wrong hear say. as i said earlier, its exactly same and as any other auto car on the market may it be tuscon or elantra or sportage. all have similar auto box same as stonic and all work the same. there is no low end torque thing.

Ok Sir, i was driving wrong... its faster than swift and quicker than others... Just FY, picanto doesnt lag like stonic does.

i had picanto extensively drove that car

picanto has lag in 2nd gear or i think 3rd gear lag

that lag is related to driving style usually. all autoboxes act similarly, if we keep the foot pressed it changes properly. also kia upgraded the ECU SW on my picanto on last maintainence and i am experiencing better milage and better torque at low end. hence smoother ride.

you should get the SW updated from kia for your picanto as well

well i live in khi some time i have to press pedal hard for overtaking while i m in hurry it takes sometime to change the gear
and drove the CIVIC 10th gen did not feel single lag in that car

just saying may be u dont feel lag in picanto or in stonic

My friend bought Sonic and I test drove his car. Being a tranditional automatic, it should not have any lag. At that time, i was driving yaris ativ x which is CVT. There was a noticeable lag in STONIC and yaris transmission felt more smoother with minimum amount of lag.

Apart from transmission, the car felt premium

It's pretty obvious CVT has quick response over any conventional transmission.

What tyres are now coming with kia stonic? I saw some post that Michelin tyres are no more in kia stonic new variants for 2025. Is that ture? If so what are the new tyres company now? Are they reliable good in performance as in pakistan roads?

I think now they are offering stonic with BG Luxo tyres. Work reasonably fine.

Do people usually stick with dealership maintenance to keep the warranty, or switch to 3rd-party services since dealership costs are pretty expensive? Also, is it worth upgrading from BG Luxo to something like Yokohama for better grip and efficiency, or is BG Luxo decent enough for everyday use?

dealership maintainence is pretty standard and cost same as any other car like corolla, elantra etc. So for keeping the warranty, its better to stick with dealership. car is loaded with features so its better to keep warranty in tact.

Also switching to Yokohama tyres will surely serve better in future since new BG tyres will be traded in well at a good value on day one and yokohama will serve more consistently over coming 4-5 years IN SHA ALLAH

KIA dealerships add extra charges in the name of periodic maintenance which is not a practice followed by Toyota. These additional fees are mandatory with every oil change else they may void the warranty.

Does anyone has experience with kia stonic BG Luxo tyres ? How's the road noise for these tyres ? Especially after 15k-20k driven?

I think I have the BG luxo on my Elantra. Different size perhaps, but same design.
They are pretty decent when new. After 10months and 7-8km, the noise has increased a bit

they are a big upgrade on the original BG luxo that came with my 2017 BRV. They were horrid from day 1...the pattern is still the same, but I guess they have improved the compound.
