Last picture of day 13
which place is this ??
For me it's the reverse case... i have visited lake almost 3-4 times and every-time it was green... and had a strong urge to visit it when it's white...
By the way there is something with your pictures... same scenes when captured by you contains a different touch and life... makes a person think that he might have skipped something so, go back there and look for yourself...
Gilgit and it's surrounding areas are high altitude deserts and at a less altitude than Naran... so the temperature is a bit moderate in this season as compared to Naran...
Otherwise in summer if a person asks me to travel on KKH from Jaglot to Gilgit in Noon time even in a refrigerator then i will decline that offer...
Altitude of Gilgit is 5000 feet ASL approx...
Gilgit onward... its not that hot.... and skardu and Hunza with elevation of 8000 feet ASL. Equal to Naran.
Upto Gilgit KKH is hot.
Naran say baraf posh pahar nazdeek hain. Its just between glaciated ice covered mountains.. Gilgit say door hain ice covered mountians...
It is en-route to Chilas from Babusar. The Bridge is broken & it is alternate/old route which enters Chilas City

Day 15 - 4th Nov
Leaving Skardu for Karachi
We had no days left, had to reach Karachi a night before Eid.. Our plan was to go non stop (I did it in 51 hours non stop Karachi to Skardu in 1984).
We left Skardu 4:30 am but our bad luck road was closed due to a landslide...
This rock fell around 11pm, the drivers started breaking it, when we reached there around 6am they were still breaking it with a hammer.
Finally around 7am road was clear.
