Dear all, read all posts and Agree with idea of Mirpur Sakro since its much closer and Star Gazing should not be limited to just the boys as many family members are also considering viewing this event. So I want to know if its open to families or just individual men on PW.

If we have own vehicles and camping gear, will the option to join the group on this trip apply? Just a thought. Please give your feedback.

welcome bro, there is no procedure to join the GTG. all u have to do is to live in karachi.. and have an account on pakwheels..
u fulfil both the terms and condition. so now u just pm ur cell no to imran bhai @ism1 and he will get back to u soon.

Sir, you are right, families can go there as well, but since this is our first visit to Sakro and u know mostly members in our group are "charray chaant" (means bachelor)..... and also KAAS (Karachi Astronaumers Society) consist of boys, so this time limited to 'male' only.

As far as camping gears, if you can adjust and are familiar with Manji/Charpai well, then there is no requirement of sleeping bag though and about vehicles, agreed with the above post of @versitian

I see your point about all boys / men and the fact its the first time going there.

In that case, its agreeable not to take families although the issue was raised by family members why they too cannot enjoy the star gazing.

In Sha Allah waiting for finalized plan and individual costs involved.

Expenses would be around 1,500 to 2000 (incl. Dinner+Breakfast+Night Stay+Transportation), so, plz. deposit Rs.2,000/- (remaining amount will be refunded on our return leg)

Plz. do it upto 3PM Wed. 30th April, 2014, then I will be able to set vehicles arrangement. So far @drift222 @musafir1 & @sulaiman75 's rides are available on fuel-cost sharing basis, further we have 2 Mehroos standby (my & @bilalsiddiqui 's) as all vehicles can go there.
