At 300K, I overhauled the front and rear suspension on my Indus Corolla (1997).
Everyone including the mechanic advised to stay away from KYB since there was no gaurantee of an original product.
Got AgriAuto shocks both front and rear with a supposed 7 month warranty. Changed all bushes and ball joints and all that kinda stuff.
Before the ride was noisy, bouncy and the car would bottom out and hit the underside on breakers.
I have japanese corolla springs by the way.
Now the car is smooth riding and body control is very consistent. The ride height has increased from before (or maybe the car was just sagging with no shock strength).
I do feel the car is a little over damped for smooth roads and a single passenger, but more people on board or a rough road and the suspension control is very good.
So in the end, i did not get an OEM spec replacement but the experience has been good.
Cheers.
