It was a long break of about 1 hours at Booni which refreshed and recharged us for next lag. But we all surprised right after departure from Booni, "Oye Road kahan Gaya?". There was an unpaved track which we were following. First thought came into mind that we might have detracked so stopped and rechecked the GPS but it was appearing on Google map as Shandur-Mastuj Road. We followed the track but road condition was getting worse. The sunshine was at full peak and the day was getting more hotter. The area was wide open and there was no sign of shade where one can take a good breath. The large stones on track were all the way. After Booni only we guys were on this route and about after hour found bit populated area and few people but far on hills. In short the track was so bad and we were merely managing an average speed of 20km/h. Really it was like a “Saza” which I have not assessed during plan and not prepared these guys for it.
Well we continued our drive and finally found a large piece of rock near Mastuj to stay under its shadow. Though we had filled water bottles with us but due to drive in sunshine the water had become hot. After drinking water, taking some rest and pics we resumed our journey. As per plan we had to reach Shandur this day but after hitting this bad track we managed to reach Laspur Broke by Maghrib. Luckily there was no puncture else the situation could be worse. At Broke there was a small hotel of two rooms in which stayed for night. There was only Telenor service in this area but none of us had Telenore sim so I asked favour from a local guy and called at home and informed whereabouts and further plan.
After dinner we came out of room and witnessed sky full of bright stars. The Milky Way was bright and right in middle of sky. We started taking pics of beautiful Milky Way.
Though the day was hot, bright and full of stress but the night was cold, calm and beautiful.
