A floorwork of the entire mosque. It was about 2pm and the sun right on head but the floor was cool. all the stones piece were perfect fit and all of them were at the same levels. You just couldn't feel the difference if you rubbed your hand over 2 individually places stone pieces.

Islamic Calligraphy done on one of the walls inside the Mosque

Arabic: 'Laa ilaaha illalaah, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah'
English translation: ‘There is absolutely no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and Mohamed (saws) is the Messenger of Allah.’

Also the names of the companions of the Holy Propher (P.B.U.H) have been engraved

The mosque has rooms on both its sides for again travelers as well as students studying there as a Madressah perhaps. Below is a door to one of such rooms

All the domes carried the same design on their ceiling. This is the main dome of the mosque where the Imam leads the prayers

This gave an end to the trip to the Wazir Khan Mosque in side the Delhi Darwaza. returning back to car parked outside the darwaza

There were some rooms attached to the mosque, perhaps for the travelers who would come to stay on temporary basis or for the guardians of the mosque. A picture of the entrance to such rooms

These used to be shops. 22 in total, in two parallel rows with brick-paved passage in between. Shops were integral part of the mosque and first ever of it's kind in Mughal history.

A window of the building adjacent to Shahi Hamam
Shahi Hamam means Royal place to take a bath. History about it goes like that the royal family, Mughals and the higher ups used to come to this place to take baths. The bath would be filled with water and warmed by steam and then further made more soothing by scents and herbs which were put in it. The entire place was warned by steam and there were several baths. Bigger ones for the royal family while the smaller one for the advisors of the family and higher ups in the empire.
