I have traveled from Pak Business Express most recently in last week of February 2013 (about 3 months ago). I traveled on Smart class (Fare 3000) and it was great experience as always. The train left on exact time from Lahore and reached Karachi almost half hour before its arrival time.

Now a days they have again started Smart class promotional fare of Rs 3000.

Different fares are:

Economy class: 2500 (No AC)
Smart Class: Promotion: 3000 Usual: 3500 (AC, 10 kg weight limit extra 10Rs per kg, Charging points, No LCD, No Wifi internet, No Food)
Budget Class: 4000 (AC, 25 kg weight limit extra 10Rs per kg, Charging points, LCD, No wifi internet, No Food)
Business Class: 5000 (AC, 25 kg weight limit extra 10 Rs per kg, Charging points, LCD, wifi internet, Food - Dinner & Breakfast)

Btw, there is third option too (i.e. Night Coach Express) which is privately run under Shalimar Group. Departure time 6 pm and arrival time 12 pm (18 hour journey, same as Shalimar, just other way around with timing). It is also maintaining time well but no comparison with Pak Business Express.

No passengers was allowed to leave the train on station?? how can we enjoy the Tea of stations and other food stuff, i know they are not hygienic but uska apna maza hota hai You also feel to do some walk on the stations where the train stop for some change and physical activity. because of travel duration of 18 hours.

But but but- Train travel is hella fun though. Especially if Pizza hut can deliver to train station and 1 gold leaf ki dabbi

They do allow it on scheduled stations (Hyderabad, Rohri, Khanewal). However, if train stops for some operational reason somewhere, then getting off isn't allowed.

I can tell you that is to avoid mishaps such as train robberies. "business train" travelers would be specifically susceptible to such attacks of the robbers and gangsters living around the stations in small towns. The gangsters want to ensure that their effort (robbery) pays off.

Depends which airline you check for.

If you book 7+ days in advance- you get it for cheaper.
Air Indus is the cheapest of them all.

I am not sure if the train fare's mentioned are for a return journey.

It's usually cheaper from Faisalabad.

If you buy tickets last minute, some agents are cheaper than the prices on the website, hence I usually purchase my tickets from a Travel agency in Karachi. Money is transferred via online banking.

As per your snap shot, the total fare is PKR.15+k, not 6+k.

yup its still running but by Pakistan Railways coz Pak Bussiness company defaulted by huge amount...the bogeys are much better than what they used to be...now cabin is more spacious...but they are not offering food for free but for a fee...though wifi is still free and theres a fixed fare of around 4250 rs....timings are bit improved, train leaves at 1530 and arrives destination at 0900 next morning...nowadays they also have added another AC class called as AC Standard and its fare is 2900rs approx...this class is free of cabin, whole coach is one with berths in it, it could get a little nosiy compared to business class but again you can purchase the food and theres no wifi in this class...this option is for those people who want to go for budgety option but still want t travel in AC...

qreen line obviously the first choice...but you can also opt for ac sleeper 02 berth cabin...green line reaches in 22hrs and tezgam in 26hrs...ac sleeper obviously is more luxirious but there aint ny facility besides that...whereas in greenline theres a cabin for 06 people faimlies are put together...but in this you will get pillows blankets wifi tv plus evening tea & snacks, dinner and breakfast all complimentary...so it all comes to you...
