road conditions are okay overall, you may get some rough patches but overall its good.
Hotels are also okay till Naran/Kaghan after that i will not recommend anything rates depend on the season.
Rama is not good for family visit because of very very poor Bathroom/restroom condition, if you are staying in PTDC Rama than it okay with family.

Thanks alot for your reply..actually i wanted to know the road condition from naran to rama keeping in view that i want to visit with my family and I have honda city. Moreover I love and care about my car
I would most probably be staying at ptdc like you said its ok...

No problem brother!, N35 “Karakoram Highway” is good from Naran till end, again you might find some rough Patches but overall it’s not going to be a problem “it depends if you are not going in land sliding season”, the real off road experience starts when you take the right turn on Astor valley road this patch of 30km or so is very rough narrow and risky not recommended for your car sorry . What i mean is it’s doable but may take a toll on your car but you may avoid it with exceptional driving skills. I will recommend taking 4x4. From Astor onwards Rama, road is narrow but good. I made a little picture it may help. Jazak-Allah.
