Two of these pre-production models has already been wrecked on public roads. The most recent being in St. Andrae, Austria on June 15, 2006.According to witnesses, the Lamborghini lost control and crashed into a tree after attempting to pass another vehicle. The car burst into flames - the driver had to be flown to a nearby hospital after suffering severe burns. The Lamborghini was on its way to a press event at the time of the accident.
nice pics...i gotta swing by the local Lambo dealer since they finally got one on display. I have a friend who has a regular 2003 yellow one and he is interested in upgrading for the right price! If he does, I'll get some nice pics to post up!
I've heard that even Valentino Balboni (Lambo test driver) has had problems controling the LP 640.

extra 50BHP, extra 6MPH to top speed, 0-100 slashed from 3.8 to 3.4. all these things puttting it ahead of GTB. now this is a lot of difference.
yea thats a lot of difference...especially that 0-100 timing..but wat was ur point in posting that roasted one ?:D..it means they r not safer now...i think they r going to work out the matter before they start its full fledge production
no i didnt mean that they are unsafe, its pretty common that companies wreck their babies while in pre-production stages, same thing happened to SLR and CARRERA GT.just found these pics, so i thought of sharing with you guys.
Yeah the Carrera GT was considered to be quite unruly during development by Walter Rohrl.
Personally i'd go for the Lambo or the McMerc, GT is a joke of a car.

CGT a joke of a car? You must be kidding me. It's pretty much a race car with inboard suspension and a V10 that was designed for endurance racing. I'm not a big fan of the looks but it makes up for it in every other aspect. I think the SLR in comparison feels pretty normal, it's just an exotic looking AMG.
