Bigger tires definitely improve performance in bumps. Corolla has huge tires so you feel way fewer bumps in it.

AOA Friends,
I have lancer 2004 and having a weird issue. With AC turned on heat gauge goes to 70 to 80% instead of staying at 50%....but stays there on 70% and when car get idle with AC on and I press accelerator to end 3 or 4 times heat gauge comes to normal....which driving if I turn AC off gauge come to normal 50% with in a minute....I recently replaced radiator and water body with new onces.....any idea about this? I am from faisalabad and could not find some guy who can understand this and fix.

my lancer 2004 1.6 model manual sr gives me 15+ per litre on 140+ speed on motorway... in city I did not check but it should be 13+ I guess.

Hello just get your radiator cleaned and hopefully your problem will be solved. Also check the fans are working properly

Check the whole cooling system i.e. water pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses, coolant quality, etc.

thanks for quick reply guys....water pump and radiator I replaced with new one....where is thermostat and hoses located....asking just coz my mechanic said there is no thermostat in my car...lol...if you guys can send me pictures how it looks and where its installed I can give it a try...Thanks a million...I shifted from Liana to Lancer and love its drive dont want to shift again on any other car.....

thanks for quick reply guys....just talked with mechanic and he said this thermostate valve is missing from my car...lol
Will purchase this and install this now on Monday and will let you guys know the results....thanks a million for such a support....God Bless

Also, check the fan module and overall health and speed of both fans. Use pre-mixed coolant only in the entire cooling system.

Dear Lancer users, I bought Lancer 2005 1300 Cc A/T 2 years back, since than it had given me a trouble free service, as I went to Naran having 6 passengers and ascended the heights of Shogrun and Babu Ser, it off an on visit to Lahore to Islamabad and back.
Few days back I got its entire suspension changed especially a Kabli steeing rod but some how the alligement of the car seems to be out as at times while driving on straight road it start pulling left and at times to right, tried almost 5, 6 different Machanic who have also advised for rotation of wheels but in vain.
Can anyone suggest what could be a cause and some good Machanic as I am based in Lahore. Thanks Erfan

Thanks for your detailed reply, I had the Steering wheel rod replaced and got all the arm brushed changed 10 days back since than the car is giving me trouble before that it was driven smooth and aligned. Now on advice of a friend I have temporarily replaced 2 front tires with rim as the shopkeeper had lent it for 2 days in order to access whether it is a tire fault or rim so I might decide to change them eventually. So far with the tires lent it is pulling on left side but handling is much more improved.

Does any one know some good lancer specialist in Faisalabad? My lancer 2004 model have some issues but could not find any one who can even understand what are the issue...My main issue is now its RPM...with AC its stable on 900 and without AC 1100 to 1200...which I think should be 1000 with AC and 900 Without AC...am I right? Please help

Well the problem is resolved now Alhumdulliah. For others knowledge I would like to write that both the skock bearing under the sturts were missing reslutently therecwas no gap left between the shock and struts which was creating a friction and thus the car steering wheel was not coming back to its original position and hence the car would slightly going astray.
Howsoever I have put in good after market alloy rims but car is little jerky now

The issue you are facing is the same issue I faced in galant about heatup, if in Lahore I can help you. Also check your fan module if the fans gets to high speed at the right time.

RPM issue is fixed...I was just planning to sale my lancer coz of this issue but luckily some auto electrician from Lahore came in and said he can fix the issue...he changed 2 sensors work 7000 and 3000 labor....I just came back from Islamabad and car is working like brand new...
Heat issue is left but I think not a big deal coz water level in radiator remains same and heat guage do not go over 70%...
