LC100 are one of the most durable and tough Toyota SUVs.
A 2004-5 diesel will cost you somewhere around 5 million mark.
We have a 98 model diesel. Bought it 2 years ago. It's 220k km driven now. Drove it 25k km in those last 2 years.
One doesn't look into fuel Economy in these jeeps but still it does 6-7km/l in city and 9-10km/h on highway.
Regular maintenance is easy and not expensive like changing engine oil (10L capacity) every 8-10k km which cost RS 5-6k.
Brake pads cost 5-6k.
Timing belt 3-4k.
Transmission oil change 3-4k.
Diesel filter every 10k cost Rs1000.
Other maintenance like suspension and parts are expensive as compared to other vehicles but do them one time and correctly and it will be good for another 100k km.
Recently we overhauled the suspension on ours Jeep. Some of the things and their are prices
Steering column redone 10k .
Engine and transmission mount replacement 20k.
Suspension bushes and parts 30k.
Changed all four shocks cause old ones were too much bumpy. Old shocks were hydraulic, height control was working perfectly fine. Search for hydraulic shocks for many days but couldn't find them so settled for simple shocks. Bought them for 30k
Now height control is disabled but drive is now way good, much stable and no more bumpy ride.
So if you want one it's good option to consider only if you find a good maintained vehicle cause most people are selling these with reversed milage like 100-120k km and in actual they are driven way more so they will need some suspension and others repairs which will be expensive.
