Well I had been silently observing the thread and was waiting in the wings to respond. IMHO civic and accord just have an edge over corolla or camry (never driven a camry) when it comes to driving pleasure, for every other aspect toyota cars are the best all-rounder bcz they are better value for money, reliable, easier to maintain. In general, honda has a long way to go when it comes to building cars bcz non of their current line-up consists of true purpose built vehicles. Toyota on the other hand have the best offroader(land cruiser), best selling compact saloon(corolla), a real threat to the german automakers (lexus), they also are the pioneer in developing hybrids like prius which not only is a fuel efficient (wouldnât say it environment friendly) car but also it has developed to be hollywoods status symbol, hence making toyota to be the most celeberated automaker of the century. And for those who question toyota as an enterprise can anytime visit wikipedia and compare the numbers (hondas revenue, profits to toyotaâs). Toyotaâs figures are in trillions and hondaâs in billions including all honda jets, bikes etc(toyota even have their own city in japan). For people who think jets and bikes are quite an acheivment for honda should also include mitsubishi, suzuki, bmw to this discussion for their bikes, generators, electrical and marine equipments and samsung too look how they have progressed in creating fones and now they are making cars too. I donât mind if toyota seeks help in making cars bcz it is just to offer the best they could. As for the LFA, I say if there was no bugatti veyron, lexus wouldâve developed it to be the best/fastest car of the world. Veyron is just the best car ever to be made. Punchline is sum hondas might be better to drive but toyota will always be the best.
p.s. no civic can match the awd handling capabilities of corolla luxel coz there has been no awd civics since 6th gen
